I went to Emporia this morning. Stopped and had breakfast at Commercial St Diner. My favorite waitress was working and I got to sit at one of her tables. She always remembers what I eat and drink.
After breakfast I went to the post office and mail a package to my Aunt Marylyn. She called me last night and told me my cousin had seen the article about Love in Action in the paper Sunday. She wanted to hear about it.
I took the car through the car wash after I left the post office and then went to Walmart to pick up my prescriptions. I had a couple other things on my list but wasn’t in the mood to get them. Nothing was urgent so I came home.
Took a nap after I came home as I was exhausted. Not sure why but I will take sleep whenever it finds me.
Haven’t done much this afternoon and evening. I need to sort and pack up the donated goods for the go bags for Love in Action but that hasn’t felt urgent enough to do today. Hopefully I will get that done tomorrow as I don’t have anything else on my calendar.
Last night when I was opening all the packages that have arrived and getting them ready to wash I found a small package. I hadn’t remembered ordering anything that small. When I opened it I discovered some plastic piercing shafts for a penis. Kathy and I laughed big over that! Yes, we had to look up pictures on how they are used. Yuck!
They definitely pulled the wrong item. When I sort things out tomorrow I will see if I can figure out what I didn’t get that I should have. This makes me wonder if the Captain has ever gotten something quite unusual from one of my donors. I’ll have to warn him about what happened to me.
Nothing on my calendar until next Monday when I have a follow up appointment in Wichita with the Doctor that did the colonoscopy. I trust they can come up with something that will help solve my tummy issues.
I plan on going to Wichita early and having lunch and doing some shopping at Costco before my appointment. I have started a short list of things I need from Costco. It is one of the few stores I don’t mind shopping at.
I trust I will wake up feeling rested tomorrow and have some energy to do a few things around here. I feel like I have been running on low for a bit and am having trouble refilling completely. The world chaos and energy is high and I need to turn it off and focus on my own energy for a couple of days.
Grateful for the big laugh last night when I opened the small package, grateful for a good nap today, and grateful for breakfast with my favorite waitress this morning.
