I woke up to the sound of something crashing. I yelled for Kathy to make sure she hadn’t fallen. She hadn’t. I went in my bathroom the thing holding up my soap dispenser thingy had fallen off the wall of the shower. Luckily, none of the dispensers broke. I texted Phil and he is going to come over and screw it to the wall. It was just glued when it was put up two years ago.
I went to Emporia this afternoon to pick up two prescriptions I had ready. Kathy also had one so I got her prescription too.
It sprinkled off and on both to and from Emporia. It never did rain much. It was in the lower 80’s today which was a nice break from the heat.
I got six thank you notes written. One was a PM and the others I put in the mail box. Good to have those caught up.
Tomorrow I have to be at a doctor’s appointment in Wichita at 1:15. I will probably go early and have lunch before. I will stop at Costco afterwards. Trusting they can find some answers for my tummy issues.
The rest of the week is empty space so far. I do have some little things around the house that I need to take care. Maybe a week of empty space will allow me to get those things taken care of.
I do need to finalize what we are doing at the Center for our September event. The Center usually needs two weeks notice if they need to order something for the event. One of the Detainees asked for donuts but not sure how we would handle that for the diabetics. I think they also get them occasionally already. Maybe the Sergeant that I work with has some ideas too.
This little project of Love in Action keeps me on my toes sometimes. I don’t think it takes much of my time but sometimes it feels like it takes over. After I get the September event planned, things should quiet down for a bit.
Still sitting in my peaceful valley. Things feel easy when I am in this valley. I never know how long it will last and I will get to stay here. I have learned to cherish every moment that it lasts.
Grateful for Phil and all he can do, grateful the thank you notes are done, and grateful for this peaceful valley.
