This has been a quiet, stay-at-home day where I didn’t do much. I took a nap this afternoon and probably slept too long but I will take sleep whenever it finds me.
Three more people donated to the Facebook Fundraiser so I met my goal of raising $800. I ended up not spending that much as the pizza was on sale. I am deeply humbled by all the donations. Others also donated in other ways so we are set with cash for right now. Next week I need to firm up plans for our September special event and also start working on a budget for the rest of the year. Depending on what we decide to do, we may not need a fall fundraiser.
I was up during the night for a couple of hours and took the chance to respond to all the birthday greetings. I have a few more that came in today to respond to. So many people took a moment out of their busy day to send greetings. I appreciated each one of them.
No plans for tomorrow. I may go to Emporia to pick up something but haven’t decided yet. I will see how I feel in the morning. Somedays I can get out of the house and some days I can’t. I have to go to Wichita Monday so need to reserve energy for that.
Luckily the rest of the week is empty space. Maybe one of these days I will get some cleaning done. It is almost to the point of driving me crazy which means I need to get some things cleaned up.
Feel like I am back in my peaceful valley today. I stepped out of it for a bit but it feels good to be back. I have yet to figure out what draws me out and what draws me back. Recognizing where I am helps though. I have learned to be careful about what conclusions I come to when I am out of bounds. My intuition isn’t as sharp and it is harder to think things through.
Grateful for a quiet day at home, grateful to be back in my peaceful valley of life, and grateful for a long afternoon nap.
