Phil came over this morning and put together the rack that holds 12 totes. I will store the Go Bags in them. Not sure they will be big enough to hold everything but it is a start. I will probably change my mind and try six different options before this is over.

It was interesting to watch Phil put the thing together. I realized just before he came over I had put two pieces on wrong. He helped me fix that and then took over. I find picture only instructions to be a bit of a challenge. However, it can be done!

They fit in the space I wanted them to fit in. I had to take somethings off the wall behind them and need to figure where to put them. This house does not have lots of empty wall space.

While Phil was here he tightened up the bathroom faucets. One of them was really loose and I was afraid I would be able to turn water on and then not be able to turn it off one day soon. Nice to have that little job taken care of too.

After Phil left I sorted things and put them in the totes. I haven’t labeled them yet as I still need to think through what I am doing. For now, men and women’s underwear are in the same tote for example. When I get the big bulk order in the next couple of weeks, I will be able to determine better how to sort things. Still not sure what I will do with 100 filled backpacks but I will cross that bridge when I get to it. Not sure how much space that will take up.

It is obvious I don’t think things all the way through sometimes. In fact, I will admit I rarely do. If I did, I’m not sure I would tackle some of these bigger projects due to fear. When you don’t know what you don’t know it is easier to proceed – right?

Went to Emporia this afternoon and picked up some groceries. I didn’t do anything else while I was there. I didn’t need a lot of things but what I did need I was out of so it was urgent to get them.

Fell asleep in my chair this afternoon and took a good nap. I haven’t had a chair nap in a while. For some reason, chair naps hit differently than taking a nap in the bed.

I drove home from Emporia in the rain this afternoon. It has finally cleared off and it is a beautiful day out now. We have lots of rain in the forecast for this week so better enjoy the sun while it shines.

I still need to clean up the tools and extra parts from the tote rack building episode this morning. They sent parts so you can attach the rack to a wall. My floor leans a lot in the area where we put the racks. Phil had to put some shims to make the rack somewhat level front to back. I don’t think there is a chance of it falling over as it tips to the back up against the wall anyways. I have four extra totes that I need to find a place to put. I will use them as extra storage when all the pieces of supplies come in. Not sure where but I will figure it out. May be motivation to reorganize the back room and get rid of somethings out there. I’ve been at this house for over two years now, if I haven’t used it by now, I probably won’t and it can go.

Maybe I will get motivated and do some cleaning again. There are a few places that are starting to bug me which is my reminder to get after it. I also need to replace two light bulbs that I keep forgetting to take care of.

I have a meeting on Monday afternoon and I need to go to Emporia and pick up some CPAP supplies. The rest of the week is filled with empty space. Somehow my empty space seems to get filled up but I am grateful I am available if a need comes up.

Feeling a bit blah this evening. I need to connect with my tribe and get some soul food. Maybe I can make that happen next week. When I go too long without some deep conversation, I get detached but not in a good way.

Grateful the tote rack is together thanks to Phil, grateful the bathtub faucet got fixed, and grateful for a chair nap.
