I had just gotten to sleep last night around midnight when Roxy barked and woke me up. We had tried to keep her inside all night so her incision would stay cleaner. She decided it was time to join Sophia outside. I got up and took her out but she wasn’t interested in a walk. She wanted to be put in the pen. I was tired and cranky and wasn’t going to argue with her. She is the most stubborn dog I have ever seen.

Struggle to go back to sleep after all that. Finally made it back to sleep around 4:00 and then woke up around 7:30 and couldn’t sleep any more. Not much sleep last night!

I am still in my pajamas if that tells you what type of day I have had. I forgot to get dressed this morning when I got up and just realized it when I got ready to write this. Too late in the day to change now and I have no plans to go anywhere.

My tummy has not played nice today. Haven’t felt my best all day. I think I needed a quiet day at home and one with no expectations on me. I’m sure by tomorrow all will be well.

Kathy got her Covid and flu shots today. We shall see how she is feeling tomorrow. I am always down for the count with the Covid shot from one of the brands but the other brand doesn’t bother me. Not sure which brand she got and what her experience will be. I am going to wait to get mine until mid October. I want the maximum protection for my trip early November.

Technology hasn’t played nice with me today either. A couple times I just had to walk away from it and try again another time. Wish I knew more sometimes but not bad enough to make myself learn it. Most times I can play around enough and finally figure out how to do something. The only problem is, I forget how I did it and can’t do it again without issues.

Need to do some work on the Go Bag project. I don’t feel too organized yet and need to get it together so I can share more details with others. It is hard for me to keep posts short enough people will read it. I tend to give too much information and people don’t read all the details. I do a lot of repetition via emails, comments and PM.

I posted today asking for a volunteer to help with the website. I got several phone calls, texts and emails from companies that do website design. Not sure how they saw the post as they are not members of Love in Action. For only $1,500 they would be happy to assist. Yikes! I would have been more impressed with them if they had taken the time to look at our existing website before they asked me for details about Love in Action. Some of them were very persistent with their requests.

One day soon I am sure someone will present themselves as a website designer and media expert and volunteer to make flyers, add the changes I need to the website, etc. People are asking me for media things I have no idea what they are or how to do them. They want specific formats and I have no idea what they are talking about.

Still trying to figure out when to post the needs for the Go Bags on the Detainee Support Gift Registry. I don’t want things showing up before the end of October and have a feeling if I list things now, they will come in too soon. We aren’t going live with the Go Bags until December 1. People are already wanting to organize parties to help fill the bags, etc. Guess I better get organized so I can book people in. I think we will need people to wash and sort things too.

I have one group lined up to do a sock drive. Another group want to do a drive but hasn’t decided on what item they want to collect.

Sure would be easier if I had an idea of how fast we will go through 100 Go Bags. I don’t want to overstock supplies if they aren’t used very much. I will continue to listen for inner intuition guidance and go from there.

Still sorting through the family drama too. A decision was reached today that at least gives me an idea of which way this is going. Not sure it will calm the drama down though. We may be getting a mediator involved to see if we can calm things down. Dang, this stuff can get hard.

All the drama is probably why my tummy is cranky today. I have been emotionally upset most of the week. I get myself calmed down and then another thing happens and off I go again. Have some work to do on myself to be able to stay calm in the midst of the storm around me. I do much better than I used to do so I will call that progress. Perfection is not required in this life!

Grateful for a pajama day, grateful I can put things down for the day and give myself a day of rest, and grateful for the interest in the Go Bag project and willingness of others to help out.
