Another pajama day. I got up and got going this morning doing some things and forgot to get dressed. By the time I realized I still wasn’t dressed it was mid-afternoon and I have no plans to go anywhere and no plans for anyone to come over so why not stay in my pajamas. It will save laundry!
The Vet called today with the results of the mass she removed from Roxy almost a week ago. One of them was a fatty lump which we expected. The other one on one of her teats was cancer. The Vet had gotten it all out with good margins on most of it. There were a couple places where the margins were narrow.
The Vet didn’t recommend any treatments. I am to keep a close eye on her and if another sore develops I am to take her in sooner rather than later. She may need more surgery in the future if it comes back. Roxy turned 10 this year so no plans to do chemo if the cancer comes back.
She has recovered well from her surgery. She is moving fine and doing her normal things. We shall see what happens in the future. The Vet said it is a mildly aggressive cancer. We shall love on Roxy and see what her future holds.
Worked on some Love in Action stuff today. I have gotten several notifications that people are making purchases of the needed items for the Go Bags. I mailed the big order for the bulk items along with the check. I expect the items to arrive in about two weeks or so.
Next steps have been taken. Will continue to take baby steps everyday and trust that this project will be successful. I remind myself not to worry about what happens after the first 100 bags are filled. One step at a time….. the future will be what it is. So far my supporters have never let me down and the funding and supplies are always there when I need them.
One project I want to explore is writing some grants to help with funding the Go Bags. I know there is money out there, I just need to connect to it.
Kathy and I are going to meet the Trainer at the gym tomorrow morning at 9:00. I think taking Kathy three times a week to the gym will be good for both of us. I will be much more likely to go if I feel the need to take Kathy. My legs and arms have gotten weak and I need to build them back up again. I also need to either walk the treadmill or ride a bike every time I go in addition to doing some resistance work on my legs and arms.
I will probably go to Costco Friday. We need a new vacuum and I have a list of other things I need. I have no plans for the weekend but Costco is too busy to go on the weekends.
We had quite the storm last night. Lots of rain, lightning, and thunder. We still have standing water in our yard today so know we got at least 2 inches of rain. I welcome the rain.
In November Nicole and I are going to do a river cruise on the Danube. They have been in a severe drought and most of the cruises have turned into bus tours as the river is too low for the boats to go down. Trusting they are receiving some rain too! I would much prefer to sleep in the same bed for 10 days rather than ride a bus and have a new hotel to check into every day.
It has been delightful having another empty space day. I feel my body, soul and spirit linking back up again and being in the same place at the same time. I need lots of quiet time to allow that to happen.
Grateful for baby steps being taken for the Go Bag project, grateful for a compassionate vet, and grateful the get fit project begins tomorrow.
