It has been a quiet day at home. I did go to the Dollar General and picked up a few groceries but other than that have stayed home. I did a few little chores around the house and worked some more on the month-end report for Love in Action.

I have felt restless and unsettled for most of the day. It was hard to sit quietly today which is unusual for me. Not sure what it has to tell me. I have worked hard to accept the restlessness and allow it to be. Most times it will pass and life goes on. At least today things have felt easy and not hard like yesterday.

No plans for tomorrow or the weekend. It has been nice to have a couple quiet days at home and look forward to a couple more. If I keep doing a couple little housekeeping things each day I can have the house cleaned by the end of the weekend.

Hard to believe it is almost the end of August. Time is flying by right now, even when I am not busy. It will be Christmas before I know it. The good news is that means my trip with Nicole to the Danube River Cruise will be here before I know it too.

Haven’t spent much time reading the news this week. Every time I attempt to do so I feel chaotic energy and like a vortex attempting to draw me in. I’m not grounded enough to go there today.

Part of what I am feeling has to do with the idea of being able to send Go Bags with the Detainees that are being deported. I struggle to believe the truth that our government sends them to a foreign country where they may or may not have been before and doesn’t give them anything other than what they have on their backs. How in the world are they to survive. Not sure a backpack with a change of clothes and a blanket solves the problem either.

I need to move into acceptance and accept the truth of what is going on and understand I can’t stop any of it. I really need to make sure what I am proposing to do will actually help the Detainees in some real way. It will be a lot of work which I am more than willing to do if I truly feel it will help them. Guess I am having second thoughts about how much it will help.

I tend to pull back into myself when in a situation like this. Once I have clear answers I can go out and make it happen.

Grateful for a quiet day at home, grateful for Love in Action that allows me to do something to help even when it feels like it isn’t enough, and grateful love will win in the end.
