I was out of the house and on my way to Topeka at 9:30 this morning. I had to stop and fill my car with gas and then I hit the Turnpike. I got to the ultrasound place at 10:45. I checked in and then went to the restroom. When I came back to the waiting room the lady that did the ultrasound was waiting for me.
She took me back and did her thing. I was out of the office before 11:00. I then went to a doctor’s office for a blood draw. It was a ten minute drive from the ultrasound place. I went in and registered and after a short wait they called me back. They had a student there and she asked permission to draw my blood. She did great but she needed three tubes and the vein stopped giving after two. She poked the other arm but missed the vein. Her teacher took over and dug around for a bit and got it in. They got the third tube full and I was done.
I went to lunch at Chipotle. There was no line and I got what I wanted, ate and then came home. I was home a little after 1:00.
I took a short nap this afternoon. I came home exhausted.
Tomorrow Ellexia and I are going to Wichita tomorrow. I need to drop off the stool sample and then we are going shopping. Not sure how long I will last but hopefully we can get through her list of things she wants. It will be fun to spend the day with her.
Thankfully I will have a few quiet days the rest of the week.
I got part of the blood work back and my TSH level was .7. That is a bit low but not dangerously so. I doubt that they change my medication. It tends to bounce around a bit. I prefer when my level is a bit low than too high. The rest of the blood work is the cancer level check and takes several days to come back.
Last night I made a loaf of banana bread. The house sure smelled delicious while it was baking. It turned out good. I hadn’t made it for a long time. I had three bananas that were too ripe to eat so turned them into bread.
I had sent a note to my Cardiologist about needing his approval before the Gastrointestinal doctor could schedule the test he wants to do. His office sent me a message back today saying they faxed his approval. I should hear from the Gastrointestinal doctor’s office tomorrow about a date for the test. I will check while I am there to make sure they got the fax.
Sitting in a quiet valley right now. Not much on my pending list of things to do. I am hoping life will feel like it is slowing down a bit for me. The first half of this year has flown by and I am ready for some slow down time. I need to make sure all parts of me are on the same timeline and that will take some slow, quiet time to make that happen.
Grateful for a safe trip to and from Topeka today, grateful my TSH levels are OK, and grateful for student blood suckers!
