Another hot summer day in KS. Man, it is not fit for beast or man outside.
I got more sleep last night than I have been getting although I did wake up about every hour but was able to go back to sleep fairly quickly most of the time. As is normal for me, when I get more sleep than I have been getting, I feel even more tired the next day.
I went to the Grand for lunch, They had some service issues today which is rare for them. I didn’t complain and ate what I got.
I walked up to the July 4th festivities that are happening downtown Cottonwood Falls around 6:00. I didn’t stay long though as it was way too hot. It was good for me to get out and walk a bit. I walked slow due to the heat.
I did run into a few people I knew. One couple lives a couple houses north of me. I walk by their house when I walk the dogs. I knew her but didn’t realize she lived there. I got to meet her husband and her granddaughter.
Came home dripping sweat. I have cooled off now and think I will stay tucked inside the rest of the night. Kathy was smart and didn’t even attempt to go downtown.
Haven’t gotten much done today. I got a donation in the mail for Love in Action and I wrote a thank you note to them. I have a birthday card lying on my desk for Jason. I will probably see if I can meet him for lunch on his birthday and take the card to him. I might change my mind and mail it in case we don’t get to meet up.
Nothing on my calendar for the weekend and next week. Hoping to get a few things done around here that are on my when I get to it list. They seem to wait patiently for me.
This has been another one of those days that after I eat the food seems to get stuck and doesn’t go down. I feel much fuller now than when I ate four hours ago. Sure hope the doctor I am going to in a couple of weeks can give me some answers as to why that happens. I was hoping the walk downtown would help but it hasn’t seem to yet. This doesn’t happen every day which is frustrating in its own way too.
A week from tomorrow is the Love in Action birthday party. I will do a media push the first of next week. I don’t have many people that have definitely said they are coming and lots that are interested. I will go with what I ordered for food and trust that it will feed all that come.
Next Friday I will got to Emporia and pick up the cake and cupcakes I ordered. The food is going to be delivered Saturday so that will make things easy for me that day. I will need some ice but I can get that Saturday morning. I like to keep things simple as it makes setting up, serving and cleaning up much easier.
The doctor I am seeing on the 14th called with a recorded reminder message today. The message said he wants the actual MRI and CT scan copies. Not sure how I arrange to get those to him. I will make some calls Monday and see if I can figure it out. He might have to make do with the written reports.
Sitting in a weird place again tonight. The restlessness has been high level today. The world energy is doing some funky stuff and the time thing is messing with my mind. Make it make sense!
Grateful for the extra sleep I got last night, grateful for a cool house to relax in and grateful for all those that are working so hard to put on a July festival downtown Cottonwood Falls. Just not my thing.
