Another beautiful day on the prairie but the weather is a changing. It is dropping fast this evening and the high tomorrow is to be in the mid 30’s and the low in the teens. I kinda liked our two days of fall better.
Jim worked on sanding steps again today. Around 3:00 I was able to paint part of the top staircase. I sat on the steps and painted and did OK. I butt crawled down to the bottom of the other staircase and Jim drove his car around to pick me up to take me back up to the house. What a pain limited mobility is. It felt so good to actually get outside and get something done though.
We met Tim and Ellexia at Bruff’s for dinner tonight. I needed a few groceries and we hadn’t been out of the house since surgery day. Felt good to get out and go into town. I used my scooted and got along fine. We stopped at Walmart and picked up a few things after dinner than came home. We saw a big deer on the side of the highway but luckily it was just standing there and not trying to cross the highway. It was good to visit with Tim and Ellexia.
My foot has behaved itself today. I haven’t needed to take a pain pill again today. I can see part of my big toe and the next two toes. They are all starting to turn a pretty shade of purple from the bruising from surgery. I’m grateful it hasn’t been painful today.
Only took about a 20 minute nap today. Maybe tomorrow I will make it all day without needing a nap. It takes a bit to get all the drugs out of my system from surgery day. Hopefully most are out by now and I will get back to my normal sleeping patterns.
Not sure what we are going to do tomorrow. Doesn’t sound like it will be a good day to be outside working on the steps. May get the laundry room painted. I also have some weather stripping that needs to be done to prepare the house for the coming cold weather.
I do need to get downstairs tomorrow and get the bedroom put back together again. I may have a guest coming in tomorrow night. He is to let me know tomorrow if he is coming. He has stayed with me before and it will be good to see him if he makes it out.
Grateful we got a bit of painting done today, grateful Tim and Ellexia met us for dinner, and grateful for another pain free day.
