Thanksgiving and Christmas with my family is done! Eleven of us gathered and had a huge feast for Thanksgiving. Luckily all the food turned out beautifully and everyone ate their fair share. We had way too many left overs!

We had a grab bag gift exchange after dinner which was fun. You never know what people will bring – the gifts range from gag gifts to practical. Sure makes Christmas more fun for me not to have to buy a gift for everyone.

I got rid of most of the candies and cookies. It is good to have that stuff out of the house. Tomorrow I need to clean out my refrigerator and see what is left in it. It is still way too full and needs reorganized. I won’t have to cook for several days as we have plenty of leftovers.

Tagen is spending the night. Ellexia went home but will be back out to spend the day tomorrow. It is only 7:00 now but it feels like midnight to me. It might be an early to bed type of night.

I’m afraid I was on my foot too much today. I’ll have to stay off it most of the day tomorrow. It is rather swollen tonight. There is a weather change coming in and that is making both feet bark at me.

The wind is sustaining at 25 MPH and gusting up to 40 plus. I might need to put in ear plugs tonight to dull the sound of the roar. It is forecast to blow all night and most of the day tomorrow too. It can wear on my last nerve sometimes.

I love having all my kids home at the same time. I am pleased that Craig and his new wife Nancy joined us today too. It was a wonderful time for all with no drama. Lots of laughter and love in the house today!

I think Jim was a bit overwhelmed at times but he fit right in. He has two grown sons but neither of them are married so he is used to a much calmer Christmas. It was rather loud at times here today – but loud in the best way possible in my opinion.

Grateful for my family, grateful Christmas is over for this year, and grateful Tagen is spending the night.
