I forgot to blog last night. We got in late to Jim’s house in OK and I was tired. We stopped and had dinner at Chipotle before we got home. My tummy was full and I was sleepy.

It was a beautiful day on the prairie yesterday. It warmed up into the 60’s so we decided to get the deck landing painted. Jim worked on finishing sanding it while I started painting. I managed to plan my painting so I could butt crawl back up the steps when I was done. Still need to do the lower stair case and finish the railings and backstops. Almost done with this project. I have lots of ladder painting to do so might not get it done before Christmas as I won’t trust myself on a ladder until I am out of my boot.

My weekend house sitters showed up before we left. We had planned on leaving by 2:00 but painting delayed us. It was good to see them. They have house sit for me before so they were able to make themselves at home. They are having their Thanksgiving feast this weekend. I trust they will enjoy the prairie and the critters.

We don’t have big plans for the time here. It is to be in the 60’s here today so I’m thinking Jim will be outside this afternoon. He wants to get his storm windows put back on. I will work on cleaning the inside of the windows he has been working on. It is hard for me to move around on uneven ground right now so I won’t be very helpful helping him outside.

Last night we sat on the couch and untangled a ball of yarn I am knitting with. That is the one thing about knitting that drives me crazy! This ball of yarn I am working with has not been behaving itself almost from the beginning. We finally had to cut it and managed to get most of it saved. I don’t have lots of extra yarn for this project so hoping I have enough to finish the blanket I am knitting.

There is a home football game in Stillwater today. OSU is playing KU. Lots of extra people in town and extra traffic on the road in front of Jim’s house. We need to go to the grocery store sometime today but will need to plan our trip so we go during the game to avoid the traffic and crowds.

Four more days before I get the dressing off and get put in my boot. It will be good to be able to be partial weight bearing so I can get around a bit easier. My dressing is looking a bit rough and dirty. Looking forward to being able to clean my foot and soak it in my bath. Not looking forward to physical therapy though.

Grateful for safe travels yesterday, grateful for my weekend house sitters, and grateful for the healing my foot is doing.
