I went to Emporia before noon and had my blood draw. My TSH is 2.0 which is perfect! It is about time I hit the range it is to be in. I will continue taking the liquid three times a week and the pill four times a week. That combination seems to be the right one.
I stopped and picked up a few groceries since I was in town and then came home. I put away the groceries and did chicken chores. The girls gave me 14 eggs this morning and I will pick up a few more this evening. They like this cooler weather and are laying a few more daily now. It won’t be long though before they start molting and quit laying for several months.
I took a car full of recycling material to Cottonwood Falls this afternoon. It is good to get the garage cleaned out. I am always amazed at how much recycling material we accumulate.
Have done a bit of cleaning off and on today – more off than on. Maybe the urge will hit this evening and I will get lots done. I didn’t sleep very well last night and am tired but decided not to take a nap. I need to move my body some more today and see if that will help me sleep better tonight.
Tomorrow I am going to Topeka for a 2:15 doctor’s appointment. I may leave early and do some shopping before my appointment. I’ll see what mood I am in tomorrow morning and if I feel like shopping. It is one of my least favorite things to do so won’t be surprised if I decide not to do so.
Jim will be home either Friday or Saturday evening. He wasn’t feeling well today and wasn’t able to get a lot of work done today. He may decide to stay until Saturday to make up for not being able to work much today. We have no weekend plans so it doesn’t matter which day he comes home. Next week is totally free too. It is nice to have a long stretch of empty space days.
I got an email today asking if I want to do taxes for AARP next year. Not sure what I want to do about them. They were unable to do any last year due to the virus. I enjoy doing them but not sure I want to commit to them next year. I don’t think I have to make a decision right away so I will sit with it for a bit and decide later what to do.
I want to give a shout out to Tom Maloney. He is celebrating his 85th birthday today. I met Tom and his wife Carolyn when I walked the Camino six years ago. We have stayed in touch and have visited each others homes. Tom is the youngest 85 year old I know. He walks 5 – 6 miles every other day and is very active. I want to be like him when I grow up.
Grateful for Tom and Carolyn’s continued friendship, grateful my TSH level is finally in range, and grateful for the eggs the girls are giving me right now.
