Jim and I have spent the afternoon outside painting and scraping.  He took apart the storm windows in the master bedroom yesterday and today we painted the outside part of the windows.  We also took apart the windows in the dining room.  Found some rotten boards that will need to be replaced.  We also scraped and painted some more on the porch.

The weather was perfect to be outside painting today.  Upper 60’s and no wind with bright blue skies.  We are going out to dinner and then Jim has choir practice tonight.

I’m going to run to the grocery store while he is at choir practice and get something to put in the crock pot for tomorrow night.  Jim teaches two classes in Tulsa tomorrow so we will be gone all day and will have an early start to our day.  It will be nice to come home to dinner ready for us.

The toe that I dropped a cake pan on is black and blue today and a bit swollen.  It hasn’t slowed me down today though.  I’m tired of hurting feet!

The eye glasses I ordered from Warby Parker arrived at home.  I am anxious to get home and try them on.  I hope they don’t need adjusted too much as I’m not sure when I will be in KC again.  I want to get up there one more time before surgery but not sure I will make it.

I didn’t hear from the store that is fixing my mother’s ring that the ring actually got done today.  If it isn’t ready when I go in next Tuesday I am going to be upset.  I sure hope I like the modifications I had made to it.

Pella Windows called and gave me a time for my appointment to get a window replaced next week.  They have been very prompt and good communicators.  Trusting they will show up as promised and that project will be completed.

I have four guests coming in a week from Friday and then they leave Saturday morning and three more check in Saturday afternoon.  They will all be using the same rooms so I will be busy flipping them to have them ready for the guests arriving Saturday.

Jason called me today.  It is always good to hear from my kids.  He is hoping to go back to work Sunday but he can’t wear ear protection yet so wasn’t sure they will let him return yet.  He said his ear was healing well but still has a ways to go.

Grateful for the work we got done on this beautiful fall day, grateful my glasses arrived – ahead of time, and grateful for guests that come to visit the prairie.
