I woke up at 3:30 this morning and couldn’t go back to sleep. I am tired this evening. Hoping it will be an early bedtime for me tonight.
I did chores early and then headed to Manhattan around 8:30 this morning. I spent the day with a dear friend helping her do something she wanted help with. We accomplished our mission successfully and then went to lunch. Had a nice lunch and then went to her house to book flight reservations to Maine for June. We changed the preliminary dates we had set and moved the trip back a week. I’m excited about going to her camp in Maine.
Drove home and got there around 4:45. It is still sunny outside and nice right now but storm clouds are building and rain is forecast again for tonight and into tomorrow morning. Enough with the rain! I am so ready for it to dry out a bit and be nice. It has been nice to see the sun today. I invite it back tomorrow.
Since I got to come home today I will have an extra day to get ready for all the festivities this weekend. Plan on going into Emporia tomorrow morning to buy the rest of the groceries I need for the weekend meals. That will give me more time to clean house and prep food on Friday before Match guy and Kathy arrive.
When I get done blogging I am going to try to get the mower out and do the rest of the yard. The garage door was closed when I went down today and I thought it had been fixed but when I tried to lift it it didn’t work. Not sure if they came out and at least got it down for me and then had to order parts or if it fell down and they haven’t been out yet. I will call them in the morning and find out what is going on. I dislike dealing with repair people!
Grateful for a safe trip to and from Manhattan today, grateful for no rain so far today, and grateful for a bonus empty space day tomorrow.
