I have no idea what I did today except sleep. I had a headache this morning and didn’t feel like doing much. I had slept from 10:00 last night until 4:00 this morning. Woke up and couldn’t go back to sleep. Was up until 7:00 and then took a hot bath and slept until 10:30. Went back to bed at 2:00 and slept until 5:30 this afternoon. I must be fighting something off. Feel better tonight.

Fixed hot dogs for dinner. Talk about an easy dinner. We had some hot dogs left over from our dinner Sunday night with the kids. Jim likes hot dogs – even had buns on hand for him. He got leftover baked beans and potato salad with his. I had some carrots and no bun with mine. About all the energy I had to muster tonight so glad it was a very easy meal.

I have a hot line shift tonight – hoping I can make it through it. I checked a few minutes ago and they are busy already so may sign on early and get it done. Guessing it won’t matter when I sign on as they will be busy whenever. We usually aren’t busy this early in the day.

I didn’t make it in to paint today. Just didn’t have the energy earlier to do so. Hoping tomorrow I will have my energy back and will be able to get some work done. I don’t like days like today when I get absolutely nothing done.

Jim teaches his second OSHER class tomorrow. He has been working all day making a Power Point presentation to go with his notes. The time he puts in to put together a 1 1/2 hour lecture is amazing.

Friday evening I need to remember to give myself my cholesterol medication shots. I will be using a new type of injection this time so trusting I can figure it out. I have to take Benadryl with it so will inject them at bedtime so the Benadryl doesn’t mess my day up.

There was a huge grass fire south west of us today. We could smell the smoke all afternoon. The wind today was in a huge hurry – gusts of up to 40 MPH. It has finally slowed down this evening. There are some beautiful thunderheads to the south and east of us. Doesn’t look like the rain will make it up to my corner of the prairie tonight but have a chance for more rain later this week. It is dry and the grass is tall and the fire danger is high. Trusting we will get our share of rain sometime soon.

I called the new internet company today and they can’t give me a date when they will get to my area. It could be in a month or it could take a year. When I told the lady why I was calling and the problems I am having with TCT she told me I could buy a router on-line for less than $50. Sure enough – I found one for $45. I ordered it and am trusting I will get it soon. I have never heard of the company I ordered it from but sometimes I get lucky when I order. We will see what happens.

The house feels weird tonight after all the wind today. It is almost an eerie quiet now. The air feels heavy to me and my feet are hurting. I can tell there will be a nice thunderstorm in the area tonight.

Still haven’t gotten the electrician’s bid to do the repair job on the new property. I may need to call them tomorrow and find out where it is at. The plumber hasn’t called me yet to schedule a time to come out and I will need to call and remind him too.

My Aunt Jeannie called today. We only talked for a few minutes and she got another call. She said she would call back but must have forgotten to do so. It was good to hear from her briefly. She told me she is going to be 81 this year. Wow! Where does the time go? I have many fond memories of staying with her during the summer time when I was a kid.

Need to try to track down a package delivery. Got a note that an attempt was made yesterday and failed and they would try again today. We were home both days and no one came by. The package is a huge box of egg cartons. I would like to find them before they sit out and possibly get wet. I may drive down to the neighbor’s house and see if they are on his front porch. That happens sometimes.

Trusting I will feel better and have more energy tomorrow. Today I felt like someone pulled my plug and drained me empty. Maybe I just needed a rest day.

Grateful for a day of rest, grateful for an easy dinner, and grateful the wind finally slowed down.
