We arrived at Camp Hutch around 3:30. It took a journey of 28 hours to get here. Well worth the journey. It is so peaceful and beautiful here.
We spent the night sitting in chairs by the luggage claim area of the Boston airport. There were bathrooms nearby and we took lots of walks. The time passed quickly. We didn’t arrive at the airport until 1:00 and then had to claim our bags. I never did sleep at the airport.
We got on the 7:30 bus to Portland and then got another bus to Bangor. The bus was comfortable. I slept for about 30 minutes on the bus.
We got to Bangor around 12:30. Hazel’s brother and wife and son met us at the bus station and took us out to lunch. After lunch we stopped at a grocery store and then came to Camp Hutch.
I took a shower after we put groceries away and then took a much needed nap.
Hazel’s other siblings came to see her this evening. They had a nice visit.
I fixed us each a salad for dinner. We then both headed to bed. Trusting we will both be able to get some much needed sleep tonight.
Grateful for a safe journey to Camp Hutch, grateful for Hazel’s loving family, and grateful for the quiet and beautiful space I am at.
