The sidewalk guy showed up early this morning. He wanted to get most of his work done before it got too hot today. They are getting lots done but have no idea how much longer they will need.

I went to Emporia for exercise at 12:00. It took me about 40 minutes to get to town due to the road construction. That makes a trip to town feel like it takes a long time.

I did exercise and then headed down to Jason’s office. I got lucky as he was free and we went to lunch. Service was a bit slow so Jason didn’t get to eat all his lunch before he had to get back to take care of a client.

After lunch I stopped at Walmart and got a few groceries and then came home. It is a bit of a challenge to get in the house with my hands full of groceries with the front sidewalk torn out.

I came home exhausted. I laid down for a bit but didn’t fall asleep but felt a bit more rested when I got up. Being in town for four hours is too much for me these days.

The tree guy was here when I got home. I went out to talk to him but he was high up in his lift. I asked him to come in and talk to me when he got done but he left and didn’t come in. Not sure if he didn’t hear me correctly or what the deal is. The sidewalk guy was gone when I got home.

Nothing on my calendar for tomorrow so I can recharge and rest. I don’t have anything on my to do list so it should be a quiet day at home. Friday I have to go back to Emporia for exercise at 1:00. I don’t think I have any other errands to run so it should be a quick trip to town and back.

I might go to Pioneer Bluffs Saturday evening for the music. I love listening to Annie Wilson and Jeff Davidson sing. It will depend on how hot it is – I don’t do heat well.

My car thermometer said it was 94 while I was in town. Next week the forecast is calling for it to be 103 – 108. It will be a good week to stay inside and only come out if I have to.

I can’t believe July is almost over. It has flown by. Won’t be long before the kiddos are back to school. I need to check with Ellexia and see if she wants to come spend a night or two with me before school starts.

Sitting in a good head space tonight. I have recovered from the exhaustion the trip to town caused. Not sure why it was so exhausting. I’m grateful I was able to refill so quickly.

Grateful to get to have lunch with Jason, grateful the sidewalk project is moving along and grateful the tree guy showed back up.
