I took both dogs on their morning business walk and both did their thing. I took Sophia first and remembered I had forgotten poo bags. We turned around and went to the front door. Roxy was sitting there. I hadn’t gotten the outside cage door closed properly. Grateful I forgot the poo bags so I came back to the house. Grateful Roxy didn’t run away.
Went to Emporia for my 2:00 exercise class. Traffic was backed up where I get on Highway 50. Found a little opening and got in line. Luckily it was moving the whole time and I didn’t have to wait for the flag man. The line was three miles long though so it stayed congested and slow all the way to Emporia.
I had a substitute trainer today. I asked him if my other trainer had told him I just got back from Costa Rica and that I had done ayahuasca. We started talking as he was curious about my experience. Next thing I knew the video we were to have been doing was done and time was up and I barely did any exercises today. That was fun!
Went to the clinic and had a blood draw to get my thyroid levels checked. They came back at 3.01 which is good. Still just a touch high but close enough to call it good.
The drive home was another slow drive. Again I didn’t have to stop for the flag man but traffic was slow going for the last couple of miles. I turned off at the Strong City cemetery and came home the back road. At least that way I could move at the speed I wanted to and not be in a long line.
Took a nap this afternoon. I fell asleep in my chair and then moved to my bed as my back was sore. Slept some more in the bed. Not sure if I will sleep tonight but it sure felt good to get a long nap. I didn’t sleep well last night.
The couple I have helped a couple times with their taxes let me know they ran into another tax problem. I am going to meet with them Friday after exercise. Trusting I can do something to help them. Things sure don’t seem to go easy for them sometimes.
I am going to drive to Topeka tomorrow to look for a new car. Their prices seem to be cheaper than Wichita. I am thinking I will have to wait for a bit to get one as the inventory levels are so low at all the dealers right now. Wondering if that is the new business model the dealers operate with now.
No plans for the weekend although there is a Spirit Fair in Emporia I might drive in to go to. I would love to hook up with other like-minded people close by.
I had to charge the battery on my heart monitor last night. The phone like device that transmits the data from the monitor kept telling me the monitor was not operating correctly and to fix it or call customer service. I finally had to turn the damn thing all the way off to get it to shut up. They need to have a way to tell the phone device the monitor is being charged so it will shut up. The button to turn the device off is hard to use. It did feel good to change the patch on my chest that holds the monitor. It had been itching and the skin was really red when I took it off. It feels better today with the new patch.
Life continues to have slowed down for me since the ceremony in Costa Rica. I feel myself moving, reacting and living at a much slower pace. I feel the simplicity of my life is really the right thing to do for me at this time. I saw a meme on Facebook today that said “Simplicity attracts wisdom” and that resonates with me deeply.
Grateful for a fun exercise class today, grateful Roxy stayed safe, and grateful my thyroid levels are improving.
