Happy birthday to my brother Chad.  He turns Medicare eligible today.  It’s like getting a nice pay raise.

Tax school is finished!  Class ran about thirty minutes longer than it was supposed to today.  I was ever so grateful to walk out of the library today knowing those long three days were behind me.  I do have to go back for one more session next week.  We will be using Chrome books this year to do the taxes on and there is a learning curve with them.  Not sure why they didn’t have us use them during class so we could get used to them but they didn’t think of that.  They are going to dig them out for a couple hours next week and let us play on them so we won’t look completely stupid in front of our clients when we start doing taxes in February.

I was sleeping really good this morning when the alarm went off.  I had slept for a couple of hours and than woke up and couldn’t go back to sleep until around 5:00.  I am grateful I got a bit more sleep before I had to get up.

I did get some lists made during class and feel a bit better organized.  I have a list of about ten things that are pending meaning I am waiting on someone else to do something so I can finish what I am trying to get done.  It helps me to keep a running list so I don’t forget to get something taken care of.

I need to think about packing some clothes for our short trip to KS Friday.  I brought most of my clothes to OK with me a month ago so will have to pack some to take to use while I am in KS this weekend.  It will be good to be back on the prairie for a couple of days.

Saw the winter weather warning forecast for KS for Friday.  Trusting we will be able to make it to Strong City safely.  May need to adjust a bit for the winter storm that may be coming through.  It has been so mild in OK that I forget it is still winter time.

When I get back to OK next week I will need to start making some wedding plans.  I have a list of things that I will need to pull together.  We are going to keep it as simple as possible but there are things I need to get ordered and arranged for.  I want to take advantage of all five kids being in the same place at the same time and get some good family photos taken.  One hard thing about having the wedding in OK instead of KS is my normal vendors are not available.

We meet with the preacher again next week and I have a list of logistics about the church to ask her.  I’m not sure what equipment and supplies the church has available and what I will need to bring in.  We are having a simple reception at the church following the ceremony and will serve cake and punch.

Grateful tax school is done, grateful for to do lists that keep me organized, and grateful for my brother Chad.
