Had a rough night of sleep last night. Both feet were aching and super sensitive. Had to hang them off the bottom of the bed as they couldn’t stand to have even a sheet touching them. Finally feel asleep around 2:00 and was sleeping really good when I had to get up at 8:00. Could have slept longer but had to get up to get ready to do taxes.
Did seven returns today. Had another couple challenging ones but all in all nothing I couldn’t handle. I did have to call a client and have her come back. I screwed up her return and we had to amend it. It took the experts some time to figure out how to do it. One of them had helped me do her return. The client was very understanding and kind.
Need to get things ready to go to KS tomorrow. We hope to leave around 11:00 so we have some time in Strong City before we have to be in Emporia at 3:30. We will see if that happens. We can always go directly to Emporia and my accountant appointment.
The prairie has gotten lots of snow today. Several of my friends have posted pictures on Facebook. Oklahoma got some rain but not much. The temperature has been cold though but it is to warm back up by the weekend. The snow will be pretty to see tomorrow. I’m glad the roads will be clear by the time we drive that way tomorrow.
A dress came in today – so far I like it but haven’t tried it on yet. I”ll do so tonight after I take my bath. Another one is to arrive tomorrow so hoping between the two one or the other will be THE one.
Jim is working on loading the car with stuff he wants to move to KS. It will also give him a project to work on while we are in KS this weekend. Not sure I understand his master plan of things he wants to do but know I don’t need to understand it.
I haven’t gotten any more painting done in the kitchen. Guess it will wait for me until we get back next week. I do taxes Tuesday afternoon and all day next Wednesday so won’t get to the painting until Thursday. Maybe by then Jim will have the cabinet doors he is building up and I can get to the wall I want to paint.
I have the paint to paint the laundry room in Strong City. Maybe I will get that done this weekend. We certainly have a list of projects to do in both houses.
I’m going to fix tacos for dinner. I laid some hamburger out this morning not knowing what to do with it. When I was giving Jim options when I got home this afternoon he choose tacos. I think he would eat them daily if given that option. I enjoy them but don’t love them like he does. I’m tired and they are easy to fix so will go with it for tonight.
There was a communication glitch between me, another person and the person that was going to sell me a house so that deal is not going to happen. He has some other properties he may be interested in selling this summer so will see if that happens. I’m relieved that the deal is off the table. The house he wanted me to buy was at the top end of my price range and I wasn’t overly eager to proceed anyways. Love that it turned out the way it did.
Grateful for another day of being in service to others, grateful the snow came today and not tomorrow, and grateful I get to go to the prairie tomorrow!
