I didn’t have a good start to my day.  I was putting away the dishes and pulled out some bowls to stack one.  I cake pan fell out and landed on my toe on my surgery foot.  Man!  It hurt.  I put ice on it and after about 30 minutes it finally calmed down. It is black and blue and swollen tonight. Gertrude did not need that to happen to it.

This morning Jim taught an Osher class on Technology and its impact on Society.  It was a fun and interesting class.  I like watching him teach.

We had lunch at a diner downtown in Stillwater then came home and took a nap.  After our nap we took apart the windows in the bedroom, washed them and scrapped paint to get them ready to be painted.  Not sure we will get them back together again tomorrow as some of the screens need to be replaced as well as parts on the screens.

Yesterday we put together the third set of railings and did some painting on the porch.  Lots more painting needs to be done but getting a little bit done makes a difference.  We plan to do some more painting tomorrow as it is to be nice outside again.

My old internet company finally showed up to pick up the old equipment.  Unfortunately the piece that was inside didn’t get set out on the porch in time so when I get home I will either have to mail it or deliver it.  They had cancelled twice before when I was home.  What a pain this has turned out to be to get it all back to them.

I got an email notifying me my new glasses were delivered today.  I will be anxious to get home and try them on.  The store that is fixing my mother’s ring called me yesterday to tell me it would be ready today.  I will pick that up next Tuesday.  Sure hope I like what was done to it.

We didn’t take a walk today as my foot was cranky.  Trusting it will be feeling better tomorrow.  I’m tired of it being cranky.

Grateful for the work we got done on Jim’s house today, grateful for another beautiful fall day, and grateful to get to watch Jim teach.
