I can’t believe it is October already. This year has gone by so quickly. Thinking the saying time flies when you are having fun must be true.
I went into Verizon today to get a Apple Watch and to switch my account off of my sister’s plan and on to my own plan. The guy I worked with was so good last time I was in but today he seemed distracted and not listening well. I wanted an unlimited plan and he signed me up for the 2 G plan. I have been trying to change my plan on line and am told I am not the account owner. Ugh….. This stuff drives me crazy. I am on hold with Verizon now to try to sort this all out.
Learning to use the Apple Watch is going to take me some time. I was watching a video and my watch wasn’t able to do what he said it should be doing. I’ll give it a break and try it again later. Not sure what I am doing wrong.
I tried to use the pedometer when I took the trash down to the curb but it didn’t work. Sometimes the simple things in life confuse me the most!
I painted for a bit this afternoon. Got all I could get done without being on a ladder. I got the ladder out and tried to go up it but it hurt my foot. It is very windy today and I took that as a sign that I should stay off the ladder for the day. If it calms down later I may go out and try again. The steps I painted look nice. Jim did a nice job sanding and preparing them. I will be glad when he gets the big staircase sanded and ready for me to paint.
My foot is whiny today. I sure can tell the weather is about to change. Ouch! It was very sensitive all night long and kept waking me up when ever I would turn over. I finally got some good sleep between 4:00 and 8:00.
My old internet company was to have come today to pick up their equipment. I left it hanging on the front door as requested but it is still there this evening. I’ll have to call them tomorrow to find out what happened. There is a $50 fee if I don’t turn in the equipment.
My friend sent a guy out today to start taking the chain link fence that was in the front yard apart. Most of it is down and needs hauled away. The yard will look better once that is gone and mowing will be much easier. One big area less to have to hand mow and trim.
Tomorrow I have my last physical therapy session. It will be good to be done with those for a bit. I will start again two weeks after surgery on my other foot in November. Once I know if I am going to be in OK or KS I will get those appointments scheduled.
Thursday I have an empty space day at last! My soul has been craving one of those. I need to get lots of detail cleaning done as I didn’t get any done yet today. Maybe when Kathy and I get back from dinner I will be able to get another room or two done.
Friday Jim is returning for the weekend and I have a guest coming for the night. I had another guest book for Sunday night so will have a house full Sunday night with Jim, Kathy, the grandkids and two guests.
Next Tuesday I am going to KC for the day. I am having dinner with Nicole and Geoff and his parents. I am excited to meet them. I also have an eye doctor appointment and will order new glasses. Costco is on my list to do that day as well as a trip to Lowe’s Hardware. I try to make each trip to KC count and this one will be a full day of errands.
I’m going to OK October 11 and staying until the 21st. I hope to be able to help Jim get a few projects done around his house in exchange for all the help he has given me on my deck. Surgery time will be here before I know it and he will be back to taking care of me.
It feels good to be back to doing my normal things and not letting my foot slow me down too much. It did stop me from painting on the tall ladder today but that was probably a good thing due to the wind.
Grateful I got some painting done today, grateful the chain link fence is going away so easily, and grateful I have an empty space day coming up Thursday.
