One more day until I get my walking cast! Yay! We will have to get up early in the morning so we can be on the road before 9:00. My appointment is in Wichita at 11:00. After we are done at the doctor’s office we are driving to Salina so Jim can see the Big Boy train engine. We won’t spend much time in Salina before we head back to Strong City.
It is supposed to rain tomorrow and there is a chance of snow on Friday. Thankfully it is to warm back up by Sunday and Monday so there is still a chance we can get the deck painting project finished.
Jim worked outside finishing a window painting job this afternoon. It was back up in the low 70’s again and beautiful out. I stayed inside and knitted a dish rag and watched a movie on my iPad. I wasn’t as restless as I was yesterday.
I get to park my scooter tomorrow! One more step in the healing process. I will be able to put half weight on my foot while it is in the boot. Not looking forward to being on crutches again but I should only have to use them for four to six weeks. Making progress even when some days feel long.
We ran some errands this morning. JIm took me to a local kitchen store that was really nice. I got a new butcher knife. Trust it will be used. I have learned how to use Jim’s knife and have really liked using it.
Grateful I get to put half weight on my foot tomorrow, grateful for another beautiful fall day, and grateful for all of Jim’s help.
