Had a much better day after having had a tough one yesterday. I had to take a second pain pill during the night last night. My right foot finally calmed down early this morning and has stayed fairly quiet today. My left foot hurt more than my right surgery foot did today.

Another day of marking time without doing much. I worked on the puzzle today and did two loads of laundry. That is about all I can claim I did today. Still not good at doing nothing but some days go by faster than others and today went by fairly quickly. I didn’t even take a nap today!

It got down to 7 degrees last night and warmed up to 33 today. Tomorrow it is to reach 49 – a real heat wave! Maybe tomorrow I can get outside and get some fresh air. I have a strong case of cabin fever today.

I watched the full moon rise tonight. Shortly after it made it all the way up it slowly rose up into a cloud cover. Fifteen minutes later it rose again out of the cloud cover. It is a beautiful but cold night on the prairie tonight.

Decided on another gift for each of the grandkids and got them ordered today. I think most of my Christmas shopping is done now. Still need to get a few more presents but won’t need them until Christmas. My family is gathering November 30 for Thanksgiving and Christmas combined so needed to shop early this year. Love on-line shopping – especially when I have limited mobility.

Nothing on the calendar for tomorrow. Thursday I have an appointment with an eye specialist in Topeka in the afternoon. It will be good to get out of the house to go to it. Friday we are going to Oklahoma and won’t be back until next Wednesday. It will be a change of scenery for me although I still won’t be able to do much. The 20th I go back to the surgeon and get this dressing off and put in my boot and will be able to put partial weight on my surgery foot.

Marking the days off the calendar. Tomorrow will be week 1 done – six to go before I can resume normal activity.

I am humbled by my mobility issues. Sure makes me appreciate my health and the ability to move around at my pleasure.

Grateful for the beauty and promise of a full moon, grateful for on-line shopping, and grateful my mobility is only temporarily limited.
