I think someone needs to put me into time out. I am cranky this afternoon. I came home from the dental cleaning with a raging headache. That hygienist is going to have trouble holding a job when she graduates. I am surprised she is a second year student – she acted like a first year student. My mouth has three sores in it from her oops today. This has been the only bad experience I have had at this program. Usually they take a long time but don’t wound me.

Got a notice from the Oklahoma Tax Commission that they need proof that OK withholding had been withheld from Jim’s pension and IRA. I had to take a picture of the forms on my iPad as I don’t know how to use the camera on this computer. I filled out their form and it almost went through when the internet went down. I had to start over and do it again. Finally got it through. They won’t let you mail it in – you have to submit on-line. Wonder what people that don’t have computer access do?

Got a gallon of wall paint and a gallon of woodwork paint before my cleaning today. Trust I will like the colors. Am concerned the wall paint will be too light. I can do one room with it and then get something different if I don’t like it. I had thought I would do most of the rest of the house in one color but if I don’t like it I am not stuck with doing it that way.

Stopped at Staples to ask if they make house calls. I desperately need someone to come help me solve our internet problem. I am beyond frustrated with it. Staples used to make house calls before COVID but no longer do so. Does anyone know of someone that knows computers and understands routers and is willing to come to my house? HELP me out please!

Picked up a few groceries as I needed to waste 20 minutes before my appointment. I got non-perishables I will need to fix our Easter dinner – we are having a long delayed Thanksgiving meal – turkey and all the trimmings.

Stopped at the Vet office and got flea and tic medication for 3 cats and the 2 dogs and got the dogs a three-month supply of HeartGuard. Those critters are expensive!

I mailed the electrician their check and acceptance of their bid. Trusting they will call in the next week or so to get that job scheduled so I can get the painting done. This whole project has not progressed much this week. That adds to my crankiness.

I did manage to get some sleep last night. I didn’t take the decongestant and am thinking that is what has caused me not to be able to sleep the last couple of nights. I did use the Flonase last night and the ear drops. My ear is better although still not 100%. At least the pain is manageable now.

I got on the hot line for a bit last night and handled four calls. They were all routine type calls and not high risk. Most of them just needed to vent and weren’t too interested in problem solving. Sometimes I guess venting is enough. I have to remind myself to meet their goal and not to impose my goal on them.

Tomorrow I am helping prepare the Commodities for distribution in Chase County. The lady was to have called me to tell me what help she needs but I haven’t heard from her yet. Guess I will show up and figure it out then. Not sure how much of the afternoon it will take.

Thursday Jim teaches a class from 1:00 – 2:30. Trusting our internet will hold up during his class this time. He likes me to be here when he teaches in case he runs into some technical issues. Not sure I am very helpful but sometimes two heads are better than one.

We don’t have any plans this weekend. Our first wedding anniversary is Friday. This year has flown by. I guess if we can survive a year of isolation together we should be good when the world opens back up again.

Spring Equinox is Saturday – a day of perfect balance of light and dark. I always check within to see where I am in balance on that day and where I am not. I love learning new things about myself during Solstice and Equinox ceremonies.

Jim wants to go to Stillwater one day next week. This time I am going to drive him down and he will bring his second car to KS and not leave one in Stillwater. It will be a long day as it is a three-hour drive one-way. We will fill both cars with more of his treasures and then come home in the evening.

It is to start raining overnight tonight and rain for lots of tomorrow and Thursday. I welcome the rain to the prairie. It has been a beautiful day today with temperatures in the low 60’s and sunshine.

The girls gave us 26 eggs today. One day next week we will have to do another feed haul. They are eating like crazy right now. I don’t mind feeding them when they give me lots of eggs in return. I have extra eggs again if anyone needs some.

We are having leftovers for dinner tonight so dinner will be easy. Nothing else has felt easy to me today so glad something will be easy. I’m too cranky right now to think about taking calls on the Hot Line. I’m afraid I would not give much empathy to the texters in the mood I am in now. Maybe I need to text in and have someone tell me something positive about myself.

Grateful the teeth cleaning is done, grateful I got my errands done while I was in town today, and grateful tomorrow is a new day to wake up to and feel great.
