Back in Stillwater, OK. Had an uneventful trip home except for the stop at McDonald’s. I hadn’t had lunch and was hungry. We each ordered a quarter pounder at 3:12. At 3:30 Jim went up to the counter to find out where it was. We finally got them after another seven minutes. Not impressed! The energy in the store was very low and borderline rude. So grateful it is not my work any more.
Went to the court house this morning to get my new tags. They gave me another temporary tag. The state will mail me the tag within 30 days. Trusting it will get forwarded to me in a timely manner. They weren’t 100% sure the mail would forward it. May have to make another trip to KS sooner than expected if it doesn’t come on time.
When I got the mail when we got to Jim’s I found out the Forester insurance was active 1/20/19 and expired 1/20/20. Not sure what it up with that as the card they faxed to the dealer had different dates. I’ll have to call them in the morning and find out what is going on.
Called the plumber this morning before we left. He was going to send his son out this afternoon to fix the refrigerator line. Haven’t heard if he made it or not.
Got the wedding invitations. I’m not sure I like them as they are a bit hard to read but they will work. Jim is working on the invitation list so will need to get those out the first of next week. The reception invitations will be in later this week so will get those out next week too. I have been working on that guest list and need to start pulling some addresses so they will be ready to address.
My new shoes came in and fit. I put them on when I got here but haven’t walked much in them yet. They feel good so far. I can tell they have more support in them than my old pair. Trusting they will help my feet not hurt so much
I have a long list of things I want to take care of this week. We meet with the preacher again on Thursday afternoon. I have a list of things to ask her about the logistics of the church so I know what I need to come up with for the reception and what the church has on hand.
It was good to be home on the prairie for a five day weekend. Thinking time is really going to go fast this month with all the wedding planning and tax preparation shifts I will be working. Two months from tomorrow is the wedding and not much is ready.
Grateful for another safe trip from KS to OK, grateful for the time I had on the prairie, and grateful I no longer own a McDonald’s.
