Got up early to see Thomas one last time before he flew to Washington, DC.  Jim went back to bed afterwards but I stayed up.  Feeling like Jim was the smart one now as I am going to struggle to make it until midnight.

We ran a bunch of errands this afternoon.  I was almost out of Epsom salt so we went to Walmart to get that as well as a few groceries, we dropped some mail off at the post office, then went to Lowe’s to get a new refrigerator, tried to get some glass for a storm window but couldn’t find what we needed, and went to the kitchen store downtown to get a good can opener.  Our last stop was at Walgreens so Jim could get his shingles vaccine and to order some prints so Jim can do his annual Christmas letter.

I fixed tacos for dinner tonight.  Jim worked outside for a bit while I was fixing dinner.  He tried out his repaired chipper to make sure it was fixed and did some cleaning in the garage.

I finished knitting another blanket.  Not sure what I am going to do with it but it helps keeps my hands busy so will continue making them.  They will find a home sooner or later.

Katy, the cat, seems to be feeling better today.  She seems to like her medication and takes it easily.  We give it to her twice a day.  She is still peeing on the floor but am hopeful she will start using the litter box again soon.

Next week I have a doctor’s appointment in Wichita on Wednesday,  Thursday I have tax school.  Jim needs to stay with Katy to give her her medication so am thinking I will drive to KS on Tuesday and than come back to Stillwater on Wednesday.  I need to pick up some mail at home and get the dogs and cats their tic medication.  I also need to bring my tax stuff to Stillwater so I can get that project started.  Tim had picked up a prescription I am going to need and I need to get that to bring back too.

I had planned on staying in KS from Wednesday until Saturday but I found out about tax school so need to go to Plan B.  I have to go to the doctor again the end of January so will try to come home for a few days then if it works better.

I will be going car shopping sometime soon.  Not sure if we will make it this week yet or if we will wait till next week.  There is a special show at the Gilchrist Museum in Tulsa that Jim wants to see so will probably go see that and than car shop in Tulsa.

I found the books that I thought I had brought with me but couldn’t find.  They were still in Jim’s car.  I’m grateful I found them.  I have missed having a book to read.

Not sure what we are going to do tomorrow.  Sometimes the list of things that need done is so big it is hard to know where to start.  The refrigerator is going to be delivered sometime tomorrow so will need to transfer all the stuff to it.  I need to get the freezer cleaned out and defrosted.  Maybe tomorrow will be a good day to get that project done.  It is to be nice tomorrow so may get another set of storm windows put back on.  We need to get that done before winter weather hits.

I’m so confused as to the day of the week.  I’ll be glad when next week comes and things feel a bit more normal.  I was surprised Lowe’s will deliver on New Year’s Day.

My feet continue to be cranky if I am on them very much.  I looked back through my blog and discovered my left foot stayed cranky through week ten and into the start of week 11.  Tomorrow is eight weeks since surgery so guessing I have at least two more weeks of discomfort to endure.  I have been surprised the left foot has gone back to being cranky but thinking it is because my gait has changed so am using muscles I didn’t used to use.  Sure trusting by the first of February both feet will be quiet and I can start walking long distance again.

Grateful Thomas had a safe trip home, grateful Katy is feeling better, and grateful I found some books to read.
