The roofers returned this morning and did the east side of the house. They were finished by noon. They didn’t do the chicken coop but have to come back to do the guttering after the siding gets repaired so I am assuming they will do the chicken coop then. I was grateful when the hammering and noise stopped.

I got up at 6:30 to get Ellexia up and to pack lunches. Tagen stayed home sick again today. After Michelle and Ellexia left at 7:15 I did a few things and then went back to bed. I didn’t feel very good this morning and was still tired. I slept through most of the roofing noise.

I am fixing a meat loaf and Kraft Mac and Cheese for dinner tonight. It was Ellexia’s turn to choose what we are having. That will be an easy dinner to fix later.

I found a second Efis supplier. This one is from Blue Springs, MO but felt he could do the job in Strong City. I am going to send him pictures and the drawings of the dimensions Phil made and we will see what happens. I still can’t get hold of the first guy. This guy wants me to check with my insurance adjuster to see if he is willing to pay for replacement or for repair. He will bid accordingly.

I got the Pella window quote this afternoon. I will forward that to my insurance adjuster. I keep hoping I will get his claim information but so far I haven’t gotten anything from him. I got notice it was sent last week but not here yet. It is coming all the way from McPherson so the pony express may be slow! Ha! Sad that it takes a week for a letter to get from McPherson to Strong City these days.

I haven’t heard from my local glass guy. He is working up a bid on the windows too. Neither have I heard back from the siding guy. He is working up a bid on replacing all the windows and putting on steel siding. Both were to have gotten back in touch with me the first of this week.

Last night Kathy called me downstairs again. This time to show me her toilet is spraying water out the bottom of the tank. She was able to tighten it up and it no longer sprays but I don’t trust it. I sent a text to my plumber to see if he could come replace it. He can but not sure when he can make it out. I sent an email to my handyman and he will be able to do it tomorrow when he comes to paint the downstairs kitchen ceiling. I am going to put a high rise toilet in. I have gotten used to those and really like them better then the lower ones. Wonder what will break next? I can’t seem to catch a break with things breaking around here lately.

I placed an on-line grocery order that I am going to pick up tomorrow. Next week I will get a big one as it will have to last for three weeks. I might log Kathy into my on-line account and have her place one each week while I am gone. I wonder if my bank debit card will allow me to charge in the states and be able to use it without issue in Europe? The challenges of modern technology!

We are back in the 90’s today and are to hang around the lower to middle 90’s for the next week. No chances of rain in the extended forecast. Dang! We need rain.

Michelle is going to take Tagen to Urgent Care when she gets home tonight. She couldn’t get a doctor’s appointment for him and he needs to be seen. I’m concerned about his tonsils. He had an abscess on his tonsils a year or so ago and it seems to be the spot where he gets hit when he gets sick. We need to get him well so he can get back to his welding classes.

I’m grateful that the roof got finished up today, grateful I got the Pella window bid, and grateful I found another Efis supplier.
