Kathy is in KC taking Bow to the airport for her return flight home. It was nice to have Bow here for a bit but Bow was starting to get homesick and it was time for her to go home. She was missing her television! It is always nice to get back to normal – what ever that is these days.
I didn’t feel very good yesterday. I think I was experiencing Atrial Flutter off and on most of the day. I ate but was never really hungry and felt a bit nauseous off and on. I’ll be glad to get to my primary doctor later this morning and see what he has to say.
The Cardiologist nurse called me back yesterday afternoon. I have an appointment to see a Cardiologist on May 3. I am to have the Holter Monitor test and the echocardiogram test done before I see him. I was hoping to have all this resolved with a permanent fix before I left for Italy May 8 but not looking like that will happen. However, maybe it will just go away on its own! One can dream anyways!
Filled the house for the Glass Blown Open week quickly and have had several more requests for rooms. I ask some of the other local people who rent space if they have vacancies and have been referring the requests I can’t fill to them. Love how we all work together to help each other stay as full as possible.
I put a notice on the DK200 Facebook page that I still have two rooms available and I think I have filled one of them so far. Might as well have a full house as opposed to just renting out one room. I am full the weekend of the Symphony the following weekend. Love weekends that I can fill every bed.
Got my Medicare Insurance card in the mail yesterday. It isn’t effective until August 1. I thought I had to go to Social Security to get it but it happened automatically. I will need to shop for additional coverage when I get home from my trip. The paper work they sent me enrolls me for Part A and B unless I do something to opt out. That was easy! Still having trouble believing I will be 65 in August. I certainly don’t feel that old.
Have four guests coming for Saturday night this weekend so will need to get some cleaning done this week. Lots of prairie burning yesterday since the wind was quieter and have a coating of ash in the house this morning. Glad I didn’t clean yesterday – it would have been a waste of time. These guests leave Sunday and the Glass Blown Open guests start arriving Sunday.
Went through my fancy yarn yesterday and filled three grocery sacks and a tote with what I need to find a new home for. A friend is coming over later today to go through it to see if there is any she wants. Think I will take the rest of it to the Earth Day Celebration Sunday to see if I can find a new home for it.
Need to head to Emporia and go to my doctor appointment.
Grateful for bright blue skies and warmer temperatures today, grateful for three full weekends of guests, and grateful for the love and support I receive from my family and friends.
