My guests text me and let me know when they left this morning. I had offered to let them hang around all day but they left fairly early today. I was sorry I wasn’t home to wish them safe travels. They were fun guests and I trust they will return again someday soon.
I was in Emporia to pick Jason up at 6:00 this morning. I took him to Topeka where he had a medical procedure done. We got there early enough to have breakfast before his appointment. His procedure took over four hours. When he was done we stopped at Chipotle and had lunch and then I drove us back to Emporia. Jason tolerated the procedure well and will find out in two weeks if another procedure needs to be done.
After I dropped Jason off I came home and stripped the beds the guests used and started laundry. I ran back into town as I thought Tagen was going to play in a football game this afternoon. I had gotten to the football field when I got a phone call telling me he wasn’t going to get to play. I came back home. Part of me was grateful I could return home quickly as I am tired this afternoon. But the grandma side of me is sad for Tagen that he doesn’t get to play.
I have bedrooms to put back together and need to get the two adjoining bedrooms and bathroom detailed cleaned when I finish writing this blog. I didn’t get a room cleaned yesterday so will need to make up for it today. What I really want to do is take a nap but am hoping if I can make myself get up and move I will find some energy and not need a nap. I didn’t sleep much again last night and am afraid if I take a nap I will sleep too long and not be able to sleep again tonight.
I noticed my hay has been rearranged in the lean to shed. Not sure when that happened. I know it was all stacked up before I left for OK last Friday. The shed is in front of the gate that got opened and the neighbor’s cattle got out of. Wonder who has been on the property to cause such mischievousness. My neighbor said he saw truck wheel prints in the drive around the gate. Makes me wonder what happened.
Tomorrow I get to stay home all day as far as I know right now. Both Kathy and Jim will be coming in sometime during the day tomorrow. It will be good to see both of them. I doubt that I get much detail cleaning done this weekend. Maybe tomorrow morning I can get a few more rooms done before they get here.
Grateful Jason tolerated his procedure well today, grateful for the cooler weather we had today, and grateful Kathy and Jim will be here tomorrow.
