I left the house at 7:30 this morning so I could be at the Vo-Tech for my dental cleaning appointment at 8:00. I had the best technician today. She was wonderful. It took five hours to get everything done. She was patient, kind and easy to visit with. She restored my faith in the Vo-Tech program. Her name is Becky. It only costs $20 to get your teeth cleaned. It does take longer than an hour but they do a great job. Call the Vo-Tech if you want to make an appointment.

I had an hour and half for lunch. I went to Wendy’s and got a bowl of chili. Then I went to Brown’s Shoes and got a pair of shoes for Jason’s wedding. I then went to Dunkin Donuts and got the kiddos a dozen donuts and delivered them to the kiddos. Went back to the Vo-Tech and finished my appointment.

I came home tired. I got some good sleep last night but wasn’t ready to get up when the alarm went off at 6:45. It is too late to take a nap so I will power through and go to bed early tonight.

The plumber came while I was gone and replaced the booster pump. Hoping this one won’t leak after just a couple months like the last one.

Did the chicken chores and gathered 16 eggs. They still had water but are drinking lots of extra water in this heat. They go through at least five gallons a day now. I need to give them some fresh linens this weekend.

Had a package I ordered from Amazon not show up. Their tracking said it was delivered Tuesday but I can’t find it if it was. I contacted Amazon and they issued a refund. I ordered the product again. They told me if it does show up I don’t have to return it. Grateful they took my word for it and didn’t give me any grief.

I haven’t gotten any thing else done today. I will probably do some cleaning in a bit but needed to sit and rest for a bit. Too much stimulation being around a roomful of people at the Vo-Tech today. I am appreciating the quiet of the house this afternoon.

Jim is coming home tomorrow evening. The kiddos requested spaghetti and meat balls so will fix that tomorrow afternoon and take it to them for their dinner. Good think Jim likes spaghetti and meat balls too as that is what he will get too. It is easy to fix and the kiddos will eat lots of it which makes me happy.

We don’t have any holiday weekend plans. I guess when one is retired everyday is a holiday. I had forgotten it was a holiday until someone asked me if we had any plans.

Feeling a bit out of touch with the world. With Jim gone I don’t talk to anyone most days and haven’t had the TV on to watch the news. It makes me wonder how I would have handled the whole pandemic situation if I hadn’t had Jim with me.

Grateful for the wonderful care I was given at the Vo-Tech today, grateful I found a pair of shoes for the wedding, and grateful Ellexia is recovering so nicely.
