We had a wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner today. Fourteen of us gathered to feast together. The meal was delicious and the conversation at the tables was rich. I appreciated all that came.

It has been lightly raining, snowing or sleeting most of the day. At least there was no wind today. It was in the low 30’s today.

Tomorrow I have to be in Emporia at physical therapy at 7:30. Afterwards I need to stop and get a few groceries. I think I will go to Aldi’s instead of Walmart as I don’t want to fight the crowd at Walmart.

Tomorrow afternoon I will start fixing food for our Thanksgiving dinner Saturday. It will be a bit more work than the dinner today as I am fixing more side dishes. I look forward to having my family together so it will be fun!

Tagen wants to come back out tomorrow and spend the night. Both grandkids are spending the night Saturday night as their parents are going to the Chief’s game Sunday. It is always fun to have them out for the night.

Maybe after Saturday I can start to get myself organized and make a list of things I need to take to Oklahoma. Don’t think it has sunk in I am going away for four months.

I may have a Newsletter for Pioneer Bluffs to work on tomorrow evening or sometime on Tuesday. If I don’t get it until Tuesday I won’t be able to finish it.

It will be good to go to the surgeon’s office Wednesday and hopefully get released from having to use my crutches. I must confess I haven’t been using them much today and my foot is a touch swollen tonight as a result. I’m sure it will go down overnight. I’ll try to remember to use them tomorrow and give my foot a rest.

Grateful for my friends and family that joined around my table today, grateful for a successful meal today, and grateful for all the help others offered me today.
