One out of three isn’t bad -right? No plumber and no call about the repair on Tagen’s truck but the dryer got installed on time and easily. I was impressed with the delivery team. They worked quickly, quietly and efficiently. It didn’t take them much time at all.

I did several loads of laundry this afternoon and the new dryer dries much quicker than the old one did and much, much quieter.

I will text the plumber in the morning and ask him what time he is coming as he said he would be here this week. Tomorrow is his last chance day.

Tagen and I will go check on the status of the pickup in the morning. Hoping he lost my number and the repair is completed. Michelle got insurance for the truck so it is good that way. Still need to get tags for it and then hopefully Tagen will have wheels while I am gone next week. If not, then Michelle will have to drive us to the airport Sunday afternoon and come get us Friday evening so Tagen can have my car to use next week.

Got some much needed housecleaning done today. The clutter on the kitchen counter was driving me batty. Michelle cleaned out the pantry last night and got it so you can walk through it now. I really dislike clutter and after a while it wears me out. Feels good to have most of it contained tonight.

Tagen went to weights and football conditioning this morning. This evening he was invited out to dinner so he hasn’t been around much today.

I fixed scalloped potatoes with leftover ham for dinner tonight. It was just Michelle and I that ate and I had way too much leftover. Guess what we are having for dinner tomorrow night?

No plans for tomorrow other than checking on the pickup and hopefully greeting the plumber. This weekend we are getting another couple of loads of Michelle’s things. We have got to keep at that job so the end job won’t be so overwhelming.

Ellexia comes back here tomorrow afternoon. I want to make sure she gets lots of sleep Friday and Saturday nights so she is well rested for our long travel day Sunday. Our flight doesn’t leave until 8:30 KC time and will arrive in LA at 10:00 LA time. We have to catch a shuttle bus to get to our hotel so it will be pushing midnight before we get settled in for the night. We will get to sleep in Monday morning as we won’t have to leave the hotel until 11:00. We board the cruise ship at noon and sail at 5:00.

Tagen brought up nine eggs today. Some of them are getting to be regular sized eggs now. Still getting a few first eggs each day from new layers. Still have over half that need to get with the program and start laying. Only one Easter Egger has laid her first egg. Waiting on the other 9 to get with it.

We have a chance for some rain tomorrow morning but not betting on it to happen. Sure wish it would rain all day and night but that is like wishing to win the lottery and not buying a ticket. I’ll believe it when I see it.

Feeling a bit tired and blah this afternoon. It felt good to get the dryer project crossed off my list. Now if I can get the plumber out here and Tagen’s pickup running I will be good to go. I find it frustrating when people don’t do what they say they will do and don’t explain or update you when things change. I am a rather reasonable person when someone tells me what is going on. But when there is no communication I get cranky when things don’t go as they said they would.

I am getting a beef the middle of August. A few of my family and friends have claims on 1/2 of it. I no longer can use 1/2 of a beef a year. If anyone is interested in getting an 1/8 or 1/4 of it let me know and I can give you estimated pricing, etc. It is grass fed beef, born and raised on a Flint Hills ranch near me, and is some of the best eating beef you can get your hands on.

It was good to stay home all day today. Tomorrow I have to run into Cottonwood Falls but will be home otherwise. I do better when I have several days in a row when I get to stay home all day. Next week will be very full of people. Sure hoping I will be able to find a quiet corner somewhere on the cruise ship where I can enjoy looking at the ocean in peace and quiet.

Grateful the dryer was replaced today, grateful to be able to stay home all day today, and grateful the clutter in the house was decreased today.
