It has been a quiet day at home.  After the three days of training I needed a quiet day to recharge myself.

Jim had a physical this afternoon so he was gone for about two hours.  This evening he had a political event the Friends of the Library sponsored.  As he is on the board he needed to attend.  I stayed home as I have no interest in local Oklahoma politics.

I was bored a bit while he was gone earlier today so got out my tax books.  There is an optional certificate I can get if I pass another test.  It deals with the clients that have a Health Savings Account.  You get two chances to take the test and didn’t think I had anything to lose to try it.  I passed with 100% on the first try!  I sent an email to the guy that tracks all that to let him know I have my certificate now.

We are going to KS tomorrow afternoon.  The forecast is calling for rain, sleet and snow until noon so will probably take our time getting ready to leave.  I would like to get home before dark though as the roads will probably start to refreeze after dark.

Last night I ordered the invitations for the reception we are going to have in Strong City the weekend after we get married.  I used the same invitations I am using for the wedding and just changed the wording.  Now that it is on the calendar it is starting to feel real and I am thinking about all the things I need to do to pull it off.  We decided to do an afternoon reception instead of an evening one.  It feels more informal which suits both of us better.  The reception in Strong City will be at our house there.  I haven’t decided what else besides cake we will be serving.

My Ktag came in today for my new car.  The KTA keeps asking for my tag number which I don’t have yet.  I haven’t gotten the papers from the dealer yet and don’t know if I can get the tags without it.  I will go into the Court House Monday and see.

When we get back from KS next week I will have two full weeks free before tax season starts.  I hope to get most of the wedding plans settled before I start doing taxes three or four days a week.  It really shouldn’t take too long as we are going to try to keep it as simple as possible.  I sure would feel better if I can find a dress I like. Not sure what I am looking for so it may be a challenge.

So looking forward to getting back on the prairie for several days and nights.  I have missed it greatly.

Grateful for a quiet day at home today, grateful I passed the test I took today, and grateful I am going to the prairie tomorrow.
