Had trouble finding sleep again last night. I woke up at 3:30 and never did go back to sleep. The day is very long when you start it that early.

I got Ellexia woke up at 6:15 as she requested. She didn’t get out of bed until 6:45 but she likes a slow wake up. Tagen didn’t have to get up until 7:15. I packed both of them a lunch and off they went. Ellexia left at 7:25 and Tagen left at 7:45.

Tagen didn’t get home until after 8:30 last night. He had started his day with the sunrise breakfast for seniors at 5:15 so he had a very long day. He ate and went right to bed. He said he was still tired when he got up this morning.

Kathy had to work this morning so I had the house to myself this morning. I went out and did some more mowing. I had done part of it yesterday. I still have a little bit more to do but am almost done.

The solar panel guy came yesterday evening. Luckily there is no damage on the solar panels. He said it all look well and there are no error messages on the control panel. Thank heavens for that!

I went to Emporia late morning. I went to Bobby D’s and confirmed my catering order for Saturday. I’m glad I went as they hadn’t put buns on the order. I took care of that so should be good to go Saturday when I pick up the order.

I went to Walmart and picked up my on-line grocery order and then came home and got everything put away.

I laid down for a short nap. I hope I got enough sleep to take the rough edge off but not so much I won’t be able to sleep tonight.

I haven’t gotten any more cleaning done yet today but will get at that soon.

No contractors came today. My handyman is coming early in the morning tomorrow to fix the flue pipe that lost it’s cover during the hail storm. One of the roofing contractors noticed that and took a picture of the pipe with a tape measure so I knew what size of cover was needed. Phil is going to pick up the part and bring it out and fix that tomorrow. Thank heavens for Phil!

Waiting on the insurance adjuster to send me his initial information. Once I get that I can get the roofer lined up and a contract signed with them. Both roofers said they could get to the job within two weeks. That was much faster than I expected it would be. The guttering part of that job will be done after the efis gets repaired.

The Efis guy is to contact me tomorrow. If I don’t hear from him, he asked me to call him. Hoping he can get out here next week and let me know what that project will entail. I am anxious about that and will appreciate getting some facts and a plan put together. Still thinking we may have to change the siding material to something else. Not sure how the cost thing will work. I envision a worse case scenario in my head and it is hard to stop myself from going there.

Haven’t looked for a deck painting bid yet. That is the least of the priorities and that may not happen until next spring. With me being gone for three weeks in September there is only so much I can manage before I go and I don’t want to have lots of contractors doing work while I am gone. The deck painters can’t be here when the roofers and siding people are here anyways.

I have some chicken tenders thawed for dinner tonight. Tagen doesn’t get out of football practice until 6:00 or later so dinner will be late tonight. I wasn’t told to pick up Ellexia at 3:00 so am assuming she has plans to go to a friend’s house until Michelle gets off work at 5:00.

Sitting in the in-between feeling place today. I seem to find myself here often and it is not comfortable for me. It is more comfortable then it used to be but evidently I needed more practice with this feeling. So much needs to be done but I am at a stopping point until some one else makes something happen. Hurry up and wait and then hurry up and wait again. Rinse and repeat.

All the kids will be here Sunday morning to help Michelle move the last of her things from her house. I am hoping it will only take a couple of hours with that much help and a U-Haul truck. It will be good to have that big job done. We will have to repeat the process when she gets her own house but we will worry about that when that happens.

Looking forward to the family gathering on Saturday. I hope I can relax and enjoy everyone and set aside all this hail storm stuff for the weekend. It will be fun to have all the kids here Sunday morning even though we will be working hard moving. They make everything more fun!

Grateful for a short nap, grateful the groceries are put away, and grateful things are happening even when I can’t see that they are.
