Got the Newsletter finished before noon today. Kathy helped me yesterday and both Lynn and Kathy helped this morning. Always glad to have that project completed.
All my guests had fairly early tee times this morning so were gone early. Not sure if they will hang around Emporia this afternoon and evening or come back to the house to rest. They each play again Friday and Saturday. I want to go watch them one of those two days. I have never seen anyone play disc golf.
After I finished the Newsletter I had lunch and then ran into Emporia for some groceries. Going through lots of fruit in the fruit bowl for my guests and lots of coffee pods. I needed fresh produce for me too as I hadn’t been to the store since Sunday.
Some man came to my door yesterday. He had a framed picture of my property taken from the air. He tried to make me an offer I couldn’t refuse. I didn’t buy his line. I told him I didn’t remember giving him permission to take pictures of my property. He left shortly after I said that.
Got my order from LL Bean this morning. The Small sized raincoat barely fits. It is almost to snug in the hips but I have decided to keep it as I still plan on losing another 20 plus pounds. I haven’t tried the pants on yet. The raincoat is a different type of fabric than the one I had gotten from them in 2004. I liked the older one better but this one will work.
Friday night Kathy and I have tickets to go to a concert at the Granada. I had an extra ticket so Michelle is coming with us. Should be a fun evening out. Glad the schedule with my guests worked so I feel comfortable not being here.
Nothing else on my schedule for the next couple of days except the concert. I will need to refresh bedrooms and clean them as my guests leave but that never takes long. Nice to have empty space return. I do plan on getting out and doing some mowing either Friday or Saturday but the whole yarn doesn’t need mowed yet. I’ll need to go into Strong City and get some more gas before I can mow. The weather is to be beautiful the next couple of days. It will be fun to get outside and enjoy it.
My next set of guests arrive May 5 for a one-night stay. I have a busy week next week as I am going to KC Wednesday and Topeka on Thursday. I’ll need to remember to plan some time to clean the house for the guests arriving next Friday. I blocked off the days while I am in Italy so no one can book so Kathy didn’t have to bother with guests. June 1 – June 11 I will have multiple guests 11 days straight. Nothing else is booked after that though. Trusting some more guests will book soon. If not, I will enjoy the break.
Only have 11 days before my trip. I still haven’t started my packing list. Maybe after my last guest leaves Sunday I can start focusing on the upcoming trip. Getting excited about going away for a bit.
Grateful the Newsletter is done and that I had some help to do it, grateful for the nice guests that are staying with me – I have really enjoyed them, and grateful for some empty space so I can recharge and refill.
