I had a date today! I met a guy for lunch at Radius. We had lunch and then drove out to my house. Spent the afternoon together. He was a nice man but not the one for me. I thought I was a minimalist but he takes it to a whole new level. I felt like a hoarder. He does like to travel in his RV stateside, is a pilot and has his own plane. But he is very frugal – to the point it would not be comfortable for me. He also seemed to be adverse to hugging which is a requirement I have. Good practice for me though.
His wife died less than a year ago and I think he needs some more time alone to process his grief. He talked a lot about her. Maybe he just needed someone to listen to him.
My overnight guest left around 6:30 this morning. He had to drive to Hillsboro to pick up his son’s friend and then go to the KC airport. We had a nice visit last night for a bit. I alway enjoy returning guests. He ate the partial bag of party mix I had on the counter. I ask him to taste test it for me – he gave it his approval.
I was up early this morning and got to see the sunrise. It was spectacular! Fall sunrises and sunsets are the best I think.
Got the room downstairs flipped and cleaned and ready for the next guest to come in. Don’t have anyone booked for that room for a bit. I had blocked off most of November for my trip and keep blocking off next weekend and then put it back on the calendar and then take it off again. I don’t even remember which way I have it right now. I will have my two long-term guests this week so I don’t really care if I have weekend guests or not.
Still texting the college professor. He still has potential! We haven’t shifted to phone calls yet but he likes to write and so do I. We mainly converse using email but have started short texts during the day. Fun!
Had a guy with the profile name of BigandHard contact me. On his profile he says his sex drive is in over-drive. I chose not to communicate with him. He looks like he is trying to act like he is 16 instead of 65. I don’t need a boy toy!
I’m going to KC tomorrow to help Nicole with a project she is working on. Other than that I have a rather quiet week ahead of me. Friday I go to Topeka for an Ultrasound.
I need to call and find out why I haven’t received the results from the blood tests I had done Friday. She didn’t take much blood and I am wondering if they only did one of the three tests ordered. I got the results on one of them back but not the other two.
It was an interesting day. Kinda fun to go out to lunch with a guy. He did buy my lunch but only left a $2 tip. Did I mention he is frugal?
Grateful for the dating practice, grateful for a returning guest and our conversation, and grateful for learning another attribute I do not want from a man!
