Another beautiful day in Stillwater. The weather was perfect this afternoon for painting. We went to church this morning and then worked on a window. Got it painted after putting in fresh glaze and new boards. Haven’t gotten it put back together again yet with the screens and storm windows but it sure looks better.
We went out for Chinese for dinner. Tomorrow is Jim’s birthday. I have to go back to Kansas tomorrow afternoon so we celebrated tonight instead.
I haven’t heard from the hardware store about the deck paint so unless he calls in the morning I will have to have Jim go get it for me if it comes in. I trust it will come in before Jim comes down to help me after surgery as that is when Jim will do the sanding and I will need the paint.
I have a lot of little things to do when I get home Monday. Tuesday will be a full day of errands and phone calls trying to get some loose ends tied up. I seem to be having trouble getting others to do what I have hired them to do. Maybe it will all start falling into place these next two weeks.
I am considering spending January through March in Stillwater so we can get Jim’s house finished up. In order to be able to do that I will need to find someone to stay in my house for three months. If anyone knows of someone that needs a temporary home during that time frame let me know. I have some flexibility on dates. I’ll need to be back in my house by mid April as I have guests scheduled for the Disc Golf tournament the end of April.
Gertrude has been fairly quiet today. Last night she talked to me during the night and woke me up. Sure wish I knew why she started hurting more after nine weeks than she did earlier.
It has been a wonderful ten days with Jim. I’m sad I have to go home tomorrow. Not sure when he will make it up. He may not be able to get away until November. At least when he does come we will have lots of time together again. This next couple of weeks may be out last long time apart.
Grateful for perfect weather to paint this afternoon, grateful for this time I have had again with Jim, and grateful Gertrude is calming down again.
