It is only 6:00 and my body is trying to tell me to go to bed like the sun just did.  It will take me a week or two to adjust to the earlier sunset.

I painted railings today.  Got five sets done – four more on the main deck to go.  Still will have the two stair cases and the landing to do but those aren’t ready to be done yet.  I should be able to get the last four on the main deck done tomorrow.

My back is a bit sore tonight from leaning over the top and painting the back sides of the rails.  I will be anxious to see if my legs are sore tomorrow.  The position I was in pulled on the back of my knees.  Good exercise I guess.

It was very windy for a bit this afternoon.  The paint on my brush would try to blow off.  The wind helped the paint dry very quickly but I think the wind wore me out.

My guests left this morning around 8:30.  I wasn’t out of bed yet although I was awake.  They hollered at me to say goodbye.  Did three loads of laundry but haven’t made it back downstairs to make up their bed.  These are my last guests until the end of April unless my plan to go to OK for four months doesn’t work out.

Went into Emporia late afternoon to pick up some groceries.  I needed lettuce for my lunch tomorrow and Crisco so I could bake some more cookies for Jim.  I need to get a stash of cookies in the freezer for him so I won’t have to bake while mobility is an issue for me.  Got the last few things off the Thanksgiving meal list and our family holiday dinner.  The rest of the stuff on the list I will have to get the week of the dinners.

I wore my yoga pants to Walmart and was grateful I didn’t run into anyone I knew.  Usually when I do something like that I run into several people I know.  I wore them painting and was too lazy to put jeans on before I went to town.

Ordered another Christmas present on-line today.  Only need a few more presents and the little shopping that I do will be done.  I really don’t like Christmas and all the expectations it brings.  Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday.  We can skip Christmas as far as I am concerned.

I slept in two sleeps last night.  I fell asleep around 8:30 and slept until 12:30.  Was up until around 4:30 and then slept another three hours.  Makes for a long night when I do that.  I could fall asleep right now but am going to try to stay up a bit so I don’t wake up at 3:00 in the morning.

Tomorrow I want to finish the upper deck railing painting.  I don’t think I have anything else left on my list I wanted to get done before I have surgery Wednesday.  I do have two contractors I need to call and find out where they are at.  I also need to look at prescription coverage for 2020 and see if I can find a better plan.  The one I had didn’t pay very much on the prescriptions I take regularly.  Not sure any of them do but I need to see if I can find a better one.  I was pleased with the medical supplement coverage I had.  They covered everything Medicare didn’t after I met my deductible.

The surgery center is to call me Tuesday to tell me what time I need to be there Wednesday morning.  Hope it is a bit later than the 6:30 we had to be there last time. Being the first patient of the day means no waiting though.

Need to get up and move my body or I am going to fall asleep!

Grateful five more sets of railing rails are painted, grateful for nice and clean guests, and grateful I can go to bed whenever I decide to.
