I am tired tonight! I came home from church, fixed lunch and then started painting. I am just now stopping for the night. Got most of the kitchen woodwork and lower half of the wall painted. Still need to paint the upper wall and do some touch ups. Jim wants me to paint the back door and frame too. Got it started but started getting sloppy so stopped.
I have taxes to do the next three days so doubt I will get back to the painting in the evenings. We will see. I might find some energy and get some more done.
We are leaving for KS around 11:00 Thursday morning so won’t get any painting done until next week unless I sneak some in the next three evenings. I have some painting I need to do in KS if the urge to paint is still there.
I have an appointment with my accountant next Thursday at 3:30 in Emporia to turn my taxes in to him. Seems a bit ironic to me that I do lots of other people’s taxes but have to hire an accountant for my own. With the Airbnb and the rental properties mine are considered out of scope for the program I use to do other people’s taxes.
Jim is going to bring his taxes up tomorrow for me to do. I did them using the Practice Lab program and he has good news this year. I can’t access the proper program from my home computer.
We stopped by the grocery store on the way home from church. I needed to get some salad stuff so I can take a lunch tomorrow. I learned my lesson last week when I went the whole day without lunch. I ate completely out of control when I got home that day.
It was 61 when I got up this morning and is only 52 now. It is going to continue to drop. The high for tomorrow is only going to be 47 and it will be even colder the next three days. I kinda liked the 70”s better. It has been cloudy all afternoon but we didn’t get the rain that was in the forecast. More rain is forecast for tomorrow so we will see what happens.
Six weeks from today is THE big day. Time is flying by right now. Glad most of the list of things I need to do to get ready for the wedding is done. If I can find a dress I will be in good shape. Have two more arriving this week so hoping one of them will be THE one.
We were going to try to move back to KS full-time April 20 but Jim had something come up and he needs to stay here another week. I’ll have to come to KS though as I have guests coming in April 25 and will need to get the house ready for them. Jim will join me the 26th or so. We still have lots of work to do on his house before he can get it rented so will be spending more time here than I would have liked during the summer. One day soon we will be in one house! I believe in miracles!
My right foot continues to bother me. It feels like I am pinching a nerve every time I take a step. It kinda swishes when I walk on it too. If it doesn’t straighten out soon I will call the surgeon and go in and see if he can figure out what is going on.
Grateful for a good day of painting, grateful it is only six weeks till THE day, and grateful tomorrow I will be in service doing taxes.
