I can’t believe February is over. Time seems to be flying by. Not sure where it goes to these days. I don’t get much done and the day seems to be over before I get started.
Feeling much better today. Last night after dinner I laid down for a bit and ended up sleeping four hours. Got up and was up until 5:00 this morning. Slept another two hours and got up. I’m tired this afternoon but decided not to take a nap. Maybe I can sleep “regular” hours tonight.
I got on the hot line at midnight last night. Handled three calls. One was a real heartbreaker. Some situations just are so unfair. Hard to find words to help them sometimes.
Baked peanut butter cookies and took to Ellexia this afternoon. I needed some fry boxes from McDonald’s so we stopped and got some since we were in town. I will have lots of things to take out of the investment property and fry boxes are the right size for me to handle. I have to go to Emporia Tuesday so will load up my car with the first load that will go to Goodwill or Salvation Army.
Monday I need to call an electrician to come out and do an inspection and fix some hanging wires. I also need to arrange for the furnace to be inspected and for a plumber to come check the pipes under the house. Also need to find a dumpster rental place so we can start getting the outside of the property cleaned up. Not sure who delivers dumpsters to Cottonwood Falls but will find one.
Tuesday I have to go to Emporia again so I can get my teeth cleaned at the Vo-Tech. I will pick up our taxes and am hoping to get a haircut if my hair dresser can work me in. So far we don’t need any groceries so won’t need to stop for that unless something comes up on my list between now and then. I also need to deliver the birthday girl her blanket. I want to bake some cookies to go with it so will do that sometime tomorrow too.
I may go into Cottonwood Falls yet today and start filling boxes of stuff that needs to go away. If I don’t go today I will do it tomorrow. I want to get started cleaning the kitchen and getting it ready to paint. Have to get rid of all the stuff in the house first though. My phone doesn’t work well at the house so have to make my phone calls tomorrow before I can go work on the house. The roofers are to show up some day this week. It will be nice to see progress on the house.
We are having fish for dinner. Jim gets breaded fish and I get grilled salmon. It will be another easy dinner to fix. That is all I do these days – easy stuff.
It feels so good to have the second vaccine in. I am anxiously counting down the days to freedom. Not sure much will change other than I can if I want go somewhere or have people over. Not sure I want to go anywhere if I can. I kinda like staying home.
Grateful to see Ellexia (and her dad) for a hot minute today, grateful for fry boxes from McDonald’s and grateful I am feeling back to normal today.
