We didn’t make it to church today.  It was too hard to get out of bed and get ready to go. After we finally got up I finished cleaning up the laundry room and put it back together again.  I didn’t get the closets painted but I got them cleaned out.

Took a two mile hike this afternoon.  Both of my feet are rather cranky now.  I am going to call the doctor’s office tomorrow and see if they can tell me why the right one feels like it has a pocket of fluid in it.  Every step I take I can feel the fluid squish around and pinch a nerve.  It almost feels like when I had my neuromas.  The left foot still gets cranky too.  I am over six months out from the left foot and over three months on the right.  I thought they would be better by now.

Most of the snow melted today.  All that is left is on the north side of trees and buildings where the sun didn’t hit it.  We got nice and muddy on our walk as the roads are sticky muddy.  We cut through the grass on the way back so the grass could clean our shoes off.

The chicken coop is one big mud puddle.  I got five eggs yesterday and none today.  I really need to get a new bunch of chickens and get rid of these old ladies.

The laundry room looks much nicer.  I put the paint that I had been storing on the folding table in the closet.  I got everything scrubbed down and hand mopped the floors.  It is nice to claim the laundry room again.

It was in the mid 50’s today and little to no wind.  We would have walked further if my feet weren’t bothering me.  I had to take off my jacket on the walk as I got too hot.  For mid February in KS I’ll take these moderate days anytime.

We head back to Stillwater tomorrow.  I’ll be sorry to leave the prairie again.  We have a long list of things we need to get done in Stillwater before the wedding though and can’t do it from here.  Tuesday and Wednesday I have taxes to do.  Maybe Thursday I can get Jim’s kitchen painted.

Five weeks from today is the wedding.  I keep thinking there is something big I am forgetting to take care of but can’t figure out what it might be.  I got both batches of mints made this weekend and will start making the ice cubes that I will put in the punch soon.  I am putting raspberries in the ice trays to freeze in the ice.  Jim has some super big ice cube trays that will work but I can only make six at a time.  Not sure how many I need but thinking at least 36 if not more.  They take about a day to make six.

Jim is continuing to work on his slide project.  I’m glad he had that project to do while he is here.  It had been on his to do list a long time and he doesn’t have much to do here so he could get that project done.

I have white chicken chili cooking in the crock pot for dinner.  It sure smells good.  I added the cream cheese and half and half so it will be ready whenever we decide to eat.  We will have lots of leftovers to take back to OK with us.

I have been trying to clean out my refrigerator freezer and the freezer in the garage. I found a bog of cooked chicken left overs so decided to get it used up.  I love using up left overs in a new way.

Feeling a bit low energy today.  I worked hard yesterday and expended my limit.  I decided not to paint the closets today as I wasn’t sure I could do a good job as I feel tired today.  I got lots of sleep so not sure what this tired is about.  Probably just letting down and relaxing on the prairie.  Sometimes I need a quiet day to refill my soul.

We will be back to KS March 5 – 8.  Will only stay until Sunday that weekend as I will have taxes to do on March 9.  Then we will be back the day after our wedding March 22.  I am taking that week off from doing taxes so we can come here and have a few quiet days together and get ready for the reception on that Saturday.  I’m so looking forward to seeing some friends.  I feel I am out of touch with most of them.

Grateful for a quiet day on the prairie today, grateful the laundry room is put back together again, and grateful for a two mile hike even if my feet are not.
