We had a strong thunderstorm roll through during the night. Got some very strong winds and a little bit of rain. The rain came hard and fast for a bit but didn’t last long enough. I haven’t discovered any wind damage although the chimes that are handing in the swing set came apart a bit. Grateful for what rain we did get.
I took advantage of the ground being softened by the rain and pulled weeds from the swing set circle this afternoon. They had gotten away from me and there were a lot of them. Some were rather tall. They pulled easily today and it is good to have that task done.
I am fixing a ham, scalloped potatoes and baking some peaches for dinner tonight. It is sure smelling good in my house right now. Making me hungry. Tagen and Ellexia had a late lunch so not sure how hungry Tagen will be. Ellexia won’t be here as she is going to her dad’s house for the week.
Tagen and Ellexia brought up 21 eggs today. Go Girls! A new record for this group. I have six dozen eggs for sell if anyone needs/wants some. They are $3 a dozen.
The air flow from the A/C is making a funny noise. It started last night and has continued throughout the day today. It gets loud and then goes quiet and then gets loud again. Rinse and repeat. Not sure if I need to call a repair man or not. It has done this before but it usually only does it for a short time and then stops. This time is has been doing it pretty consistently. It has always ramped up a bit just before it kicks off but this time it makes that same sound all the time. Ramps up – then ramps down – ramps up – ramps down. Anyone know what might be going on?
Tomorrow I have my annual physical at 10:00. I need to make a list of the things I want to discuss with my doctor. Nothing serious going go – just a few complaints about this body. I notice the little aches and pains more now then I used to.
Trying to think if there is anything else I need to do in town while I am there tomorrow. I hate to go to town for only one thing. It is too early in the week to place and pick up my grocery order.
The temperature was in the low 80’s today. It has been a windy one though. My weather station tells me we had a 67.2 MPH wind gust last night during the storm.
Feeling a bit restless and uneasy this afternoon. The wind wears me down after a bit. It did feel good to get outside and pull weeds for a bit. I’m doing some grounding exercises to see if that will help ease whatever this feeling is. Struggling to remain present for some reason.
Grateful for 21 eggs today, grateful the weeds have been pulled in the swing set, and grateful for the wonderful smells in the house this afternoon.
