Ellexia continues to run a temp between 100 and 101. She doesn’t act too sick thankfully. She was able to eat pancakes for breakfast. Trusting she will continue to recover and not get any sicker. Her daddy will be staying home with her and Tagen this week as he gets paid. Mom has to go to work tomorrow.
I got the new sheet rock painted today. It will have to dry overnight and then I will decide if I need a second coat. I know the hallway paint is the right paint but I am not sure about the bathroom paint. I need better light to check. It is cloudy on the prairie today so don’t have any natural light to help me out. I’ll check in the morning. If it is not the right shade I will have to go get a gallon of paint and paint the whole bathroom. It is a small bathroom so that won’t take long if I need to do that.
Jim is working on sanding the woodwork trim that was removed and getting it ready to put back on. He is going to Stillwater tomorrow so doubt if he gets it on before he leaves but we will see how far he gets tonight. It will be nice to have that project completed and everything put back together and crossed off my pending list of things to do.
I will do lots of cleaning while Jim is gone this week. I came up with a little project to do so will work on that project too. I have two pencil Christmas trees to give away. Not sure if the lights that are on them all work or not. If anyone is interested in them let me know and they are yours. If no one wants them I will put them in the trash. They are about seven feet tall and slim. They come in three parts. I am betting that between them you could get one to work with the lights.
When I clean the storage room I want to go through the totes again and get rid of at least half the stuff. I don’t even know what I have down there any more so it is time to go through them and clear stuff out. I can only hold on to so much stuff. I also need to go through my remaining yarn stash and clear part of it out. I don’t knit like I used to and there is no used hanging on to yarn just in case. Anyone want yarn? Let me know and I will save some for you.
We are grilling steaks for dinner tonight. I want to try our new beef and see how it tastes. We had some hamburger last night and it was good. They sure cut it differently this time. Hoping the steaks are as good as the ones last years. We are having T-Bone steaks tonight – last year we didn’t get any T-Bones.
Had another restless night of sleep last night. Not sure why I am struggling to sleep again. Hope my thyroid levels aren’t going too low again. I have felt restless all day today and have wanted to eat all day. Not a good thing for me to do. Sometimes that is my first clue to low thyroid levels. I am to get my levels checked in another week but if I am still restless tomorrow or Tuesday I may get them checked this week. I don’t want to start having another thyroid storm.
When I was doing chicken chores this morning it started sprinkling. Didn’t last long and never did get beyond the sprinkling stage. Darn it anyways. We sure could use a couple inches of nice, gentle rain. At this point I would even take a downpour. It was a bit cooler today. Forecast calls for upper 80’s and lower 90’s this week. Still too hot for me but headed in the right direction.
I need to do my egg delivery run tomorrow at noon. I only have one dozen extra eggs right now. I am barely getting a dozen a day right now and one of my customers will take six dozen a week. This may be the last week I can provide that many for her. We will see if the chickens will produce a bit more with the cooler temperatures this week.
Wonder when we will hear about getting out booster vaccine? I have heard from a few people that they have already received theirs. Not sure how they managed that. We got our second shot the end of February so are six months out. We are already taking precautions but thinking we need to double down until we can get our booster shots.
Grateful the painting got done today, grateful Ellexia seems to have a mild case of Covid so far, and grateful for a full freezer of beef.
