It has been a quiet day at home. I did go into Strong City to get some ice but other than that I have stayed home all day.
Tagen is congested, has a slight cough but no fever. I sure hope he was just very tired and his body wanted him to rest today. He took a nap this afternoon. Hoping he can go to school tomorrow but we shall see how he feels in the morning.
Ellexia came back this evening. She will be here all week. She missed my sack lunches I pack for her to take to school. Good to know I am good for something!
Tomorrow the Pella window guy is to come at 10:00 in the morning. Last time he tried to come he got lost so we shall see if he can find me tomorrow. I need him to come as his bid to replace the 20 doors and windows is what the insurance will use to pay me.
Tomorrow I am going to call the Efis guy and see if he has had any time to work up a bid and to see if he needs any more information in order to get that bid to me. I need him to do this bid so the insurance can get the payment for the repair of the Efis started.
I can’t make any decisions about windows or siding until I get those two bids. Fingers crossed that both bids will come in this week. Sometime this week the siding guy is to get back to me and let me know how much replacing all the windows on the main floor and putting on steel siding will cost. I have a feeling I better be sitting down when I see that total.
I don’t have much else on my calendar for this week. I will have a couple of quiet days to start prepping for my trip next week. 11 days to go!
Hoping we here something about Tagen’s pickup this week. Still don’t know if we will fix it or junk it. It would be nice to have a pickup for the chicken feed hauls but this one isn’t worth putting lots more money in to it.
Feeling a bit out of sorts tonight. I have this big hail project on my plate and a big trip to prepare for. The timing of the trip isn’t ideal and I am struggling to get into the spirit of getting away. Hopefully the hail project will get moving this week and I will feel more comfortable getting away.
The roofers will be here bright and early in the morning to start the reroofing project. Not sure how long they will be here. May need to find something to distract me from the noise.
Grateful for a quiet day at home, grateful Ellexia is back home for the week, and grateful I have a quiet week ahead.
