Another night of little sleep. Man, this is getting old quick.
I spent the morning getting ready for family day. Did some much needed housecleaning. Brought in a table and chairs from the shed so we would have enough places to sit and eat. Fixed the spaghetti sauce, made a salad and fixed the garlic bread.
It was fun having everyone here today. We fit in my little house! Not sure how I am going to fit 24 for Thanksgiving but 8 was no problem. The food was good, the conversation around the tables even better.
Jason and my neighbor Phil tried to get the lawn mower started but it would not work. I will have to take it in sometime this week and get it fixed. Geoff looked at my yard and told me how to fix it. I will need to stop in Emporia and get some grass seed one of the days I go to town this week.
We had a brief rainstorm roll through early afternoon. I was surprised when it rained. We missed most of the storm though.
I took a nap after everyone left this afternoon. I’m still tired so trusting I will be able to sleep good tonight. When I got up from my nap, I did the dishes and cleaned up the kitchen. I used paper plates so I didn’t have lots of dishes to do.
Tomorrow I have to go to town for exercise at 2:00. I have a load of stuff to drop off at the Friends of Library book sale and I need to go to the Chiropractor as I missed going last Friday. If I think about it, I will stop and get grass seed after I get my car unloaded.
Tuesday I am going to KC for lunch with two friends and then meeting with my attorney to sign some papers. I don’t think I have any other errands to run while I am in town but between now and then I may think of something I need.
I need to remember to call the foundation guy tomorrow and get that project started. I may stop by and make sure Tagen’s floor is ready for the new flooring that is to be laid on Wednesday. He hadn’t move some stuff that needs moved yet and I want to make sure it is ready to go so that project doesn’t get delayed.
If I remember and the skies are clear, I may go out to the Prairie Preserve tomorrow night and watch the moon rise. It will be a Super moon. I am missing keeping touch of the rhythm of the moon. It is impossible to see the moon rise from where I am now.
Feeling a bit ungrounded tonight. Not sure why as I had a fun day. It feels like something is brewing inside and I can’t put my finger on what yet. Sooner or later I will figure it out – or not. Sometimes it is an emotion that needs to be heard and released and it takes me a bit to figure it out. I will continue sitting with it and allowing whatever to rise.
Grateful for family days when all the kids and grandkids come home, grateful the food turned out OK today, and grateful for all the ways I am blessed beyond measure.
