Had a delightful surprise today.  Tim and Michelle brought the kiddos out late morning.  The kids stayed for a couple of hours and I took them back into town.  They were so good and we had a fun time together.  I hadn’t seen them for a bit so it was nice to spend some time with them before I leave again tomorrow.

Tim brought out a box for the TV.  Found out I am not getting the speed of internet the provider advertised.  When I get home on the 17th I will have to call the internet provider and find out what the deal is.  It is faster service than I had before but not fast enough for TV and movies.

I went out and painted on the deck this morning and when I get done blogging I am going to go back out and paint for another hour.  What I am painting is tedious work and I can only stand to do it for an hour or so.  I have some ladder work that needs done but am resisting the urge to do that as I don’t trust myself to climb a ladder safely with the boot on.

My foot has been quiet most of the day.  I got some good sleep last night and my foot was mostly quiet all night long.  It woke me up once or twice but overall I had a good night.

I have been pressing completed sets of tea towels and stamping two more sets.  I do one set and than have to get off my foot for a bit and than do another set.  I have put away three sets so far today and still have two sets to press.  I have two more sets stamped and ready for me to embroidery.  I think I am going to take them with me to NC to have something to do while I am visiting with Jim’s family.  I can embroidery and visit at the same time.  Still not sure what I am going to do with all the sets I have done.  The tub I store them in is full already.  I enjoy making them though.

The kids went down to help me do the chicken chores.  The uneven ground still challenges me.  Tagen was brave and went into the chicken pen with me and gave the chickens their sunflower seeds.  We only got one egg today.  Not worth the cost of their feed – the slackers.

I have enough critter feed to last another two weeks so didn’t have to wrestle with feed sacks today.  I’m grateful as picking heavy things up hurts my foot yet.  Trusting I will get by until Jim comes next time and he can lift it for me.

I haven’t gotten any cleaning done today.  I’ll have to get at it when I get done painting this afternoon.  I’m not leaving until afternoon tomorrow so will have some time in the morning to get some cleaning done.  I seem to find ways to procrastinate on house work.  I would much rather be outside painting than inside vacuuming floors.

Ellexia likes to choose the music to play.  I had not heard of any of the groups that she likes to listen to.  Made me felt a bit out of touch and old.  Can’t say that I wanted to remember the names of the groups as I didn’t care for the music she was playing.

Grateful to get to spend some extended time with the grandkids today, grateful my foot has been quiet today, and grateful I get to be with Jim again tomorrow.
