I am in Stillwater, OK with Jim.  It is cloudy and very humid outside.  So far Stillwater has only gotten some sprinkles but rain is in the forecast. My feet are telling me the weather is going to change as they are achy and sore this morning.

The electrician came yesterday morning to figure out why the light above my kitchen sink blinks when the dishwasher runs.  He didn’t find a reason for it other than maybe the pump in the dishwasher is getting ready to go out.  It doesn’t change the voltage when the light dims so he doesn’t think it is a fire hazard.  He changed the light bulb to see if a different type of bulb would make a difference – it didn’t.  He checked all the ground wires and bypassed the switch and nothing made it stop blinking.  I will replace the dishwasher in the coming months and see it that works.

Unfortunately while he was working with the breaker box he discovered the 30 amp switches are wired with 20 amp wire.  He said if I was concerned about fire I would get that fixed and if I ever sell the house he would recommend it be fixed if he did the sale inspection.  I told him to put me on his schedule and get them fixed.  There are 20 or 30 of them that need fixed.  Not sure if he will replace the breaker with a 20 amp one or replace the wire leading to them.   I am grateful he discovered that issue but I hate spending money on things that I can’t see the results of.

I got two more areas of the house deep cleaned yesterday before I left for Stillwater.  Three down and many more rooms to go!  It does feel good to have that cleaning project started.  I have a busy week next week but will continue to get at least one room a day done.

It was good as always to see Jim.  We went out to dinner and enjoyed a quiet evening at home afterwards.  He has a lovely back porch and we sat out and enjoyed the evening and quiet of his porch and back yard.  Today he has to work at the book sale at the library from noon until 2:30.  He has a project he needs my help on this afternoon when he gets back.  Tomorrow we will go to church and probably do another project in the afternoon.  I will drive back to KS Monday afternoon.

Hope the rain comes soon so my feet will quiet down.  Both feet are sore this morning from the coming weather change.  I so look forward to the cooler temperatures that are in the forecast for next week.

Grateful to be with Jim again, grateful for service people that can fix things, and grateful my deep clean project is started.
