It was another beautiful fall day in Oklahoma. Bright blue skies with temperatures in the mid 70’s. Perfect day to be outside painting and scrapping. We got more work done on a set of windows. Didn’t get them finished but made good progress.
We went to a brunch this morning at some friends of Jim’s. They live in a beautiful home in Stillwater. It is homecoming weekend at OSU and. I guess it is a tradition to gather with friends over the weekend. We had a nice time. I especially enjoying spending time with the husband of the couple we visited. For some reason we have clicked and enjoy each other.
I took a nap this afternoon. I didn’t mean to but I laid down on the couch and fell asleep. I hope I can sleep tonight.
Tomorrow we will go to church in the morning and then finish painting the set of windows we are working on in the afternoon. We still need to put the storm windows and screens back in the first set of windows we took out earlier this week. We are going to stop by the hardware store on the way home from church and get some screen so we can repair those and get them put back in.
Monday I head back home to Strong City. The list of things I need to do at home keeps growing. Hoping I will have a productive week and get some things crossed off my list. I have two sets of guests coming this weekend so that will provide some motivation for me to get the house in shape.
Not sure when Jim is coming back up to KS. He will be coming the 5th so he can take me to surgery on the 6th but I am hoping he will make it up before that for a couple of days. I have guests the next two weekends so won’t make it back down to OK before surgery. I always hate the time when we are apart.
Gertrude has been quiet today finally. She has been cranky lately. Not sure what the problem with her is. Hoping it was the final episode of her being cranky.
Grateful for naps, grateful for friends that invited us to brunch, and grateful Gertrude has quieted down again.
